I saw #1 of this in the wild today, but it was bagged and I wasn't paying £4 for something I couldn't check.
How long did DOTM last? I only ever saw #1.

same format as before.
Art on the comic is by Jeremy Tiongson. Very nice. Story by Robin Etherington same quality as his usual stuff.
Meh. Not worth the money for paper purchase to be honest.

That's disappointing. I'll give it a look but this is the last chance it gets until someone tells me "WOW THIS NEW STORY IS TOTALLY ROCKING".
I dunno, ever since #2.8 Titan seem to have lost any real ambition.

So they have redone the issue to #1 now, wheren't they only doing Prime for few issues - see Titan v3 thread. I still have #5-13 left of my subscription [Prime #1-9]

There's some nice bits in the issue - I do like the idea that the US thought they might need to wipe out the Autobot base at some point - but overall, another disappointment. Boo!

I've not got my copy in the post & not in newsagents yet. Is there some normal toy for the bin again?

I got my issue today from Martins, I enjoyed it enough, but I'd have rather it featured some new characters, like maybe have it set on another planet or following Wheeljack hunting for more Autobots or something elsewhere. Oh well, maybe later
It comes with a "Requiem Blaster" disk launcher, a sticker sheet of Prime characters and a small Stationary set (I'll give that to my nephew probably)

It's the first Titan TF #1 I haven't picked up (inc the DOA Animated comic). I just can't justify paying £4 for 8 pages of comic now I am used to Panini newsstand stuff where £2.95 buys 66 pages of strip (and sometimes 88 pages for special issue for the same price). Heck £2.45 gets me an IDW comic with 22 pages of strip.

I got a ROTF Autobot mask -would have like the pen set in mine. But is a good issue - but needs more pages if they miss the DOTM pull out section next issue.

I picked it up in Sainsburys today, noticed the price tag and almost exclaimed, "I have nipples, Titan. Are you trying to milk me?"
As Ralph mentioned, 3.99 is simply too much for 8 pages of material.

I'd rather assume that, like volume 3, the price will go down after the first issue.

If I wasn't subscribing I'd have long since forgotten to buy it, as is I forget to end the subscription. On the other hand it sadly seems as though it wont last much longer unless Prime proves a big success so I might as well stick it out.
I liked the comic, characterisation was decent and the idea was pretty good, but it is desperately expensive for what it is.

I'd rather assume that, like volume 3, the price will go down after the first issue. Probably, but the higher price on #1 is a bizarre tactic that lost them this reader. But then, Marvel do the same mad trick with some of their #1's! -Ralph

8 pages ones a month is just to forgettable, its the same problem (well one of them) I have with the TFCC comic. I haven't read any of the DOTM issues and probably plenty of the ROTF issues too.
I suppose the daily showing of Prime on CN might be a better way to interest kids than than the movie and the Prime toys should be out before Christmas too, but yeah its hard to see it surviving long into the new year.

I'm surprised how slim the issue is general. I grabbed a digital copy from Zinio for £2.39 and felt ripped off when I'd finished. Can't imagine I'd ever pay the print price unless there was a big increase in content.

It's a pity that Titan doesn't just cut down the number of pages in the magazine, get rid of some of their other features, have the adverts spread out and some competitions somewhere, and lower the price to make it more appealing to older readers maybe.

It's a pity that Titan doesn't just cut down the number of pages in the magazine I would hope that they would reduce the comic width to A4, similar to the Marvel Legends comic, rather than cut pages. The super A4 size contributes to the feeling that the comic lacks pages. Correction: I confused the US-style Marvel Legends with the A4-sized Marvel Heroes

My subsrciption copy only cost £2.35 - but thats paying the £30.50 then a week later they reduced it to £28 but on the phone they wouldn't let you have it for under £35.

Dave. Get it from Titan's comic app and it only costs 1.49. Ah, I see. That would be better. I've just looked though and their Transformers stuff is still only optimised for iPad - I could view it but wouldn't be able to zoom in and actually read it.

Actually something that I think the Titan team could do to make the comic more popular would be to steer away from the main TV cast and create some new characters based on old ones, but in existing Prime/WFC molds or based on some (especially since there's no toy only characters yet). I think that's what was wrong with the TFA comic and why it fell so fast, it just used TV characters and one very obviously suspicious new character, compared to the majorly toy character heavy Alternate reality storyline characters from Titan's Volume 1 just a thought

Argh no, I loathe repurposing of existing figures into different characters, it is awful I agree they need to find their own direction though.

Oh no I meant that they just use the existing characters as a basis, but create new characters from them, like Hubcap or Bumper from Bumblebee or Elita One from Arcee with new heads and colours or whatever

Thin comic + high price = no sale to parents of kiddies. It doesn't matter what is inside.

I find it somewhat ironic that the official UK Transformers comic comes with disposable cheap crap gifts when this week's Doctor Who Adventures has a KREON Optimus Prime minifig as one of the freebie gifts.
I think we can tell where Hasbro UK think is a better place to advertise to the core market (children).
