After the short life of the Animated comic, I don't know how long I can imagine a Prime comic lasting, anyway. I suppose it's not diluting the market like the Animated one was, trying to come out alongside the movie title, but all in all, it's really quite depressing how Titan's crew have failed to keep ahold of the high ideals they had for the comic when it started, and it's wound up turning into bog-standard UK kiddie fare. This thing used to have Don fuckin' Figueroa doing art in it, for fuck's sake. And it SOLD BETTER then!

Don & Guido, Dan Khanna only did one issue - the other stuff was reprints. Marcelo Matere did 2 issues

Here's hoping for Guido doing Prime - his style would work with doing those kids Movie books. I don't think Don would work for what titan are paying.

Got issue 2 today, it's £2.65 and the story's okay
The competition prizes are pretty good as well, and the free gift are a pair of pencils and erasers (always handy to have round)

I'm still not paying £2.65 for 8 pages of strip. For 30p more a Panini title gives me 66 or 88 pages of strip. Ok, they're reprinted but online I can get an IDW title with all-new 22 pages of strip for £2.50.
Bugger off, Titan.

I've got my sub up to #9 so i'm going to get the sub offer in the new issue - so its £2 per issue 13 issues £25.99 & get them to add it on - so that'll get me upto #22 july 2013.
I got the rocket in it - with it saying on top right of cover free missile lanucher. does it say same on yours with pen set?

oh mine does say Missile Launcher up the top
They must just be giving away leftover goodies from the DOTM line and left that tag up the top by mistake

Just checking that they didn't do a different cover like with DOTM#2. Anyone got the DOTM#2 with Optimus GOLD on the cover - the newsstand cover - so I can add online & also I can't remeber which Hubber it was that was doing the reviews - so can also add to that review site too.

I haven't read the second issue yet, but you know, I have to say, I was quite impressed with the first Prime issue (as much as one can be impressed with anything Titan does now). I quite liked the art, and Miko's name goof aside, it read like it had been written by someone who had actually watched the cartoon, or at least done the research properly, cleverly tugging on little threads that haven't really been explored much, like the nature of the Autobots' agreement with the government, or the fact their headquarters used to be a missile silo. The inclusion of an episode guide page is a nice touch, too - it means nothing to me personally, of course, but the cross-pollination of media like that is always smart.

Did you mean this cover? Because it was issue 1, issue two had Shockie on the cover aesircomics-books.blogspot.com/2011/10/titan-dotm-volume-3-1.html

#2 if you got it in the shops for £3.99 had GOLD Optimus Prime in the top right corner. The normal cover with cover price £2.50.

Just entered this month's competitions (maybe I'll win again and get some gifts for my nephew's birthday next lol)...the competition puzzles aren't exactly hard this month, and the answers are kind of unimaginative

I wish they'd stick to the super A4 size. These extra tall issues are a nightmare to store.

You know, they're still doing a pretty neat job on the Prime strip. They've captured the typical action A-plot/ humorous B-plot structure of your average boy's cartoon very well with this issue - "Autobots go to fight Megatron over some energon in the Arctic in a scheme involving a tech macguffin while Arcee and Bulkhead try to get to know each other better back at base" could be an episode of Prime, no problem, and it wouldn't even have to be about Christmas, which this issue even managed to work unobtrusively into a story that would have already been fine on its own. And they've got Fowler's attitude wrapped up nicely, too. This really is much better than the last however-long of movie stuff - and it feels FAR more at home in the kiddie-fodder puzzle-book that the magazine's become than the movie unvierse did. I legitimately laughed a few times while reading.

The January issue is available now at a price of £2.65, if anyone is interested. I didn't have sufficient cash on me to buy a copy today, but I noticed that the artwork for the comic strip this issue is particularly good (in Titan TF terms, at least) during a quick perusal. It comes with another free blaster.

The art is really good, and the story isn't that bad (brainwashing story) I quite liked it
