It's one of the old games with a lick of paint, but yes this is good news. I was always rubbish at the Dizzy games but I'm looking forward to this. Also coming to Android.

Pffft. I have Dizzy Collection for my Amiga CD32.
Although great that the modern gamer will get to experience the classics.

Stumbled on the teaser while it was just an image of a pair of eyes peering out of an eggtray and got excited. I must admit that I'm disappointed that all we're getting is a rerelease of an old game as an app... and the easiest of all the Dizzy games to boot. Come on, Oliver Twins... you know we're out here, get us a brand new adventure based on some Brothers Grimm material with a whole new aesthetic! Liiiike... THIS!

Spiffy.
Hopefully there's more Dizzy on the way after this.

That's awesome. I just found out there was a new New Zealand Story game for the DS a few years ago. EEEEE!

The DS version of New Zealand Story was a bit odd. I didn't like the tacked on touch screen bits and the new abilities were pointless (though inoffensive) as they're not needed.

I hate this press release. It's got me playing the original on a spectrum emulator again.

I've never found a Spectrum Emulator that lets me play 128k versions of games. Annoys me intensely.

There's a couple out there I've seen.
I'd stilll be using my old one except it won't run on Vista.

I see. I do wish companies would stop this silly thing about their products having a lower case letter at the start of the name.

But there are a lot out there so I don't actually know for sure. Emulators for PC that I know will play 128k games (as I'm using them myself) are zx32 and ZXSpin. In related news I also use ZXDS a lot. In fact my (non-3)DS is used mainly as a Speccy these days.

Yesterday, 25 years after it's release, I completed Dizzy for the first time. Congratulations! The first game (The Ultimate Adventure) is wonderfully imaginative, but ridiculously difficult to beat. I remember being killed by bats or misplaced spiders on numerous occasions, or having to give up when the bridge collapsed. The ZX Spectrum version had a weird bug when played on the 128k model - if you passed a certain point in the game and lost a life, the joystick control would stop working, forcing you to play the rest of the game via keyboard.

Really? I only ever played it with the keyboard.
Those ******* bats!

Can't remember if I finished any Dizzy. I think I did one, but damned if I can remember which. Although I may have finished the Usurper, Seymour's first game. (...Goes To Hollywood)
