Our spaceship has just docked at Reading. A familiar path we are now treading. Let bells ring out as if for a wedding! I wonder if Travelodge has robot bedding?

Swindon has returned to this reality and exists on the railway network once more. Coinciding with Phil having a good night’s sleep and feeling better than he has in recent days. Coincidence? You decide!

And we’re in Wales!
Nice empty service, table for anyone who wants one for themselves.
It helps that this service from Paddington was showing as cancelled up until a few hours ago.

I must say it’s an absolute pleasure being on a train with French rugby fans. So quiet and unobtrusive!

On this occasion, my train home, a packed London-to-Swansea service, is being held at Phil’s least favourite station apparently due to a shattered window that occurred since Swindon. What fun.
Edit: Only a twenty minute delay. No compensation for Martin today.

Oh no. Do you think he was going for THE TROLLEY? Do they still have trolleys on trains? I thought they'd got rid of them years ago, when train companies realised they could make more money by forcing people to queue in the aisles on a short-formed train. I managed to get caught up in the travel chaos at Euston station last Wednesday. It's usually a 60-80 minute journey, but turned into a 4 hour crawl into London and another 6 hours of train hopping to get back in the evening. I genuinely thought I would have to sleep in a station waiting room at one stage, but eventually managed to get sufficiently close that I could get a taxi and arrived home around 2am.

Darn! I didn't get a trolley either way on my Manchester trip. Mind you, I was faceplated the whole trip anyway so it wouldn't be that much use to me I guess.

I thought that was a euphemism for being drunk for a minute, which was very confusing until I got the Transformers/face mask connection.
