Pinwig is going to attempt to get from Portsmouth to Brighton during tomorrow's Southern Rail strike.
It will be... an adventure.

This would be great news if it happened. West Wales has historically been somewhat... poorly served in terms of transport links and this would be a great step forward. Karl

I did think of you when I posted the link.
If it happens we must go and ride it!

Pinwig has made it to Brighton! Train delayed not by the strike, but by an unexploded wartime bomb found at Portsmouth Harbour.
Typical excuses.

Well that was no fun. Last time I make a train journey on a strike day. Absolutely no RMT related disruption at all. Wouldn't even have known there was a strike if it hadn't been on the news. I was looking forward to the challenge of trying to get home, the jostle of the frustrated commuter, the bus replacement services. Nothing. Very poor show.

Such a terrible way to end a great day. Little did we know. Pity you didn't have any pens, you could have had a go at the colouring book.

It's a map that shows the reach of all the London stations - the areas the lines from them service.

But a 'Phil' was there!
Also this amazing passage:
'Daryl Hearn, 25, was due to travel to Bristol for his stag do. The Swindon man, surrounded by six pals all dressed in monkey costumes, said: "We're going to get a taxi now."'
