Comics event in Derry its on from the 31 May – 2 June in the Verbal Arts Centre, as told to me by local Marc Graham. I've been looking for an excuse to finally hop that pond and it's my birthday that weekend so will suit me.

I would have gone to that but I am going to be on my way back from the Channel Islands that weekend, so I shall have to give it a miss.
Ah well, I shall put it on my "another time" list with SDCC, GenCon and the International Storytelling Festival.

I'm usually a guest at this thingy, and if schedule permits, it will be so again this year! Especially if any of you chaps are along! Nick or Nickless, the Festival is a wondrous, comic-intensive treat with the pros at your very fingertips all weekend. I heartily recommend it!

Yeah, I went last year and would highly recommend it. Really good at promoting comics to people of all ages and a good range of people there.

Hmmm, would I need a passport to get into Ireland? Not Northern Ireland, but you'll probably need some form of photo ID for the plane/ferry trip there. And I'll warn you in advance that there are no flat surfaces in Derry, it's all hills! |

Last time I was on a ferry was 2004. Travelling Larne - Troon when the tail-end of a hurricane swept across the Irish Sea all the way from Florida. People were chundering all over the place but we were in no real danger.
Of course, back then I hadn't realised my full power. We'll see what I can summon this time.
