Hope she's better soon! My little girl is poorly too, she has a terrible cough and sore throat, could hear her breathing all night and it sounds like it must be painful, but at least she slept.
Monday! Ugh. And the weather is beautiful, just to taunt me I'm sure.

Both my girls are ok. The eldest thinks she's a "Space Shrew", and the youngest keeps pulling my chest hair. I'm not in work 'till Friday! Squid's Christending on Sunday!
Be safe out there, Cyber-Chumbs!!!

After re-reading 'The Hobbit', over the last week I've re-watched the 11 and a half hours of 'The Lord of the Rings'. (That's the full versions, not the abridged ones shown in cinemas and on TV where all the supporting characters get short shrift.) They still hold three of the spots in my top ten favourite films of all time, and I think 'The Return of the King' has overtaken 'Fellowship' as my favourite of the three. For one thing it has the greatest number of moments that bring tears to this grown man's eyes (from the charge of the Rohirrim, through "The Eagles are coming!" to "You bow to no-one").
Also had a walk in the local nature reserve today.
One more day of holiday tomorrow, probably to be spent largely in the cinema, then back to work.

Busy old day yesterday, helping a friend with some bad news, and holding and feeding her baby (five weeks old! eek!) girl for the first time.
When I get on my own though, the old depression and it's attenant causes swiftly return. This doesn't bode well for the immediate future...
Back to the hospital today! W00t!

Bagpuss transcends quantity to win a victory of pure quality.
Long morning this morning - working on a job that needed to be done, but was quite laborious. Fortunately the afternoon gave me more varied things to work with so I got a bit of a sense of closure on the day.

Finished my latest animation and go it sent off yesterday just a day later than planned, but the delay was worth it the finishing touches work really well including a Sausagefist cameo in the credits. Yay! Couple of hundred hours to make a 2 minute cartoon half of which is relatively unchanged clips from TF season 3 is crazy though.
Been catching up on sleep today.

I have been looking for my Bagpuss DVD the past few days to show Charlotte! Sadly I had the idea while moving house to keep it and a few others separate so they'd be safe. I have no idea where any of those are.
We got a CD of nursery rhymes today recorded in a very folky style which is pure Bagpuss; the male and female singers even sound like Madeleine and Gabriel. This is far more acceptable than most nursery rhyme CDs which sound like they were recorded with a Casio synthesiser in demo mode.
Charlotte herself is much better to our relief, though she took the whole thing pretty much in her stride.
