No, I'm still waiting on ER wave 1 and siege battlemasters that were supposed to come in. I've got ER wave 2 with Star and they've not sent any notices yet either.

Given the length of time between him and the others, I concluded Snapdragon was probably gonna hold up my ER order so I’ve asked for a refund. At least Smyths still have a boatload.

I’ve learned from a mutual that Kapow won’t cancel part of the order, only the full thing, which I thought might be the case but wasn’t sure. In which case I might just cancel the whole shebang and run to Smyths on Friday.

So does that Hasbro delay also include the Wave 2 ER Deluxes and Quint Judge do you know? It's anoying having to wait this long whilst watching them dissappear in my local Smyths. Don't want to miss out on them.

I’m absolutely kicking myself for not cancelling earlier, I’ve had no response to my emails asking for a cancellation and now I have no idea if my next email will be a cancellation confirmation or a shipping notice, especially since people have started receiving Snapdragons from them. I bought the lot from Smyths, so if they do get sent out they’ll be going straight back, hopefully the returns policy is still a thing with COVID and whatnot.

Kapow are launching a special, closed group for product updates: www.facebook.com/groups/480609446231205 Which, you know, is interesting and all, but should also be the kind of thing that they're doing on their main page. You also have to apply to join, and confirm that you're a customer. I wonder if they'll use this to filter out people who've complained too much...

Indeed. It's nonsense. No company should expect customers to now follow 2 FB groups just to know what is happening with their orders. Have an update on their website, have a pinned post on their social media feeds. Don't add extra effort for your customers or they will go elsewhere.

So what's the thinking behind this? Notify regular customers of limited supply preorders first? It probably isn't about streamlining the load on the server as theirs is generally okay at heavy times. More about trying to ensure regular customers get at hard to buy items first.

The way they've set up and explained that list of products is pretty good. It just needs the upcoming stuff with estimated release dates. I'd worry though with Kapow's track record of promising things that this will be out of date all the time.

It's a public group so you can see everything without joining but it's still putting the onus on the customer to check elsewhere, when it should be on their website and pinned posts on other social media.

Oh right. My Facebook knowledge is minimal because I only use it for checking the posts from shops anyway. So if it's a publicly visible group why do you need to join it anyway? Just to post comments? That's daft. Yes, this should just be a pinned post like ID do already.

How big are Kapow and ID? I feel like they’re still pretty small concerns (admittedly ones who’ve grown pretty quickly from a tiny base and growth often seems to be difficult for small businesses). If they’re still a couple of people and a dog , it would be pretty easy for them to try and find a solution to a problem and get it wrong without it being a deliberate misdirection etc.
