hey just a quick thread to give credit where it is due.
just ordered a couple things from kapow toys. got a great price and they arrived superbly packed in pristine condition really really quickly!
so i just wanted to give kapow full marks.
anyone who hasnt perused kapows stock for a while should go give them a look over.

On the subject of Kapow!, how close are their stock times to general UK release? Supposedly they'll be getting in the Prime wave with the Vehicon at some point this month, does that mean we should be looking out for it in our local shops?

they are pretty quick of the mark. they do seem to get most things early and they dont tend to charge crazy prices. yeah it is definitely worth while to keep intouch with kapow. and yeah i sorta fell out of touch with them for a while too and missed out on some good stuff. kapow have never steered me wrong and i have a bundle of goodness from them in the post at the moment. i gotta say they are my favorite UK supplier.

BIG thanks to Andy from Kapow Toys for sorting me out a Quakewave! Royal Mail (PUTTUP!) lost the first one he sent out, despite it being recorded with a tracking number etc. When it came to light, Andy promptly sent me a replacement! Hope the other one turns up back for him so he doesn't loose out. But Kapow did me proud. Thanks Andy!

If the parcel doesn't show up he should be able to reclaim the full value of the contents from Royal Mail.
I don't think I appreciate how fortunate I am that only a handful of packages out of the hundreds I've received over the years have been lost or mangled in transit.

I must admit, I've never had one go missing before that was sent to me. RM pretty good 'round our way, small town a good thing maybe? I've had one international parcel go missing that I sent, but seems I've been lucky too generally. Hope Kapow can indeed get their money back. I imagine businesses don't need that kind of assistance from RM in the current economic cliamate!

Will today be Defensor day? Was it? No :-( I'll give it till Wednesday before chasing. The lack of a working tracking number worries me. It's now showing on the tracking system as We have been notified that your item is being shipped by the retailer; the next scan will appear when we receive this item. So why send me an email Friday?

This is Kapow isn't it? I've had similar problems before with them. To the point a year or so back I told myself not to use them any more. Not that I kept to that. I once had a dispatch note from them, then the parcel was actually posted *four weeks* later. This lead to a lengthy and protracted email exchange with them which got worse when the package they eventually did send had the wrong items in. That whole fiasco took six weeks to resolve eventually, at the end of which I didn't have the items I'd originally ordered. Left me feeling very bitter.
I'm not saying that's happening here by any means, just that I have experience of Kapow's dispatch notes not actually meaning the item is dispatched at all.

I will file this one away under "things a particular shop does" but dispatched to me means gone, out the door, not sitting around over the weekend waiting to have RM pick it up.
Though, through the magic of tracking, I do know exactly the same thing has happened to me from BBTS!
Anyhow the parcel is now in Swindon. Will it be delivered today?

Similar issue can happen with eBay. Now you can print out postage labels at home, eBay marks the item as despatched when you do this even though you haven't physically posted the package. (Although the postage is only valid if used wothin 2 working days so I guess the indication is there the package will be sent, but still...)

Sorry to hear folks have had poor experiences with Kapow.
Every time I have used them it has been a prompt service and speedy delivery, quite often a day or two ahead of when I expected to get the items.

Yes, I have to say a lot of the time I've had no problem. I got a sour taste originally I think because of my first three orders with them two were messed up, but I've had no problems since.
Glad wave 3 arrived Phil, that looks like a right bundle of fun you've got there.

I only really buy from Kapow at AA and when I have bought online in the last few years theres never been a problem so I have no concerns buying from them. But mistakes are going to happen.
I do remember hearing of some problems years ago (and might have had one problem around then myself) maybe when they were just starting out or it might have been while they had a high street shop and were stretched a bit thin.

I've never had any problems with Kapow what so ever. On the contrary, I've always found them to be pretty easy to deal with. They got MP Prowl to me fast enough, ahead of expected (2 of them!!!). And I've always had good communications from them etc.

They still haven't sent my G2 Superion and haven't answered the queries through FB. Polit email dispatched through their contact us page: Hi guys, just had my shipping notification for CW G2 Menasor, thank you very much :-)
However I'm still waiting for CW G2 Superion (order number xxx) which should have been out January. Your preorder page still says "DELAY UNTIL LATE JANUARY 2016." www.kapowtoys.co.uk/transformers-combiner-wars-g2-superion-giftset.html and obviously it's way past that now.
Do you have any idea what's happened and when you'll get these in?

I received an order from them last week that had stuff missing from it, I'll need to email them when I get home.
They also cancelled my MP Ultra Magnus invoice 2 days after it had been sent which took the question over whether to buy it or not out of my hands.

They do like their invoices paid VERY promptly. Still at least now we know whenthey'll turn up: CUSTOMER NEWS - Due to the amount of unpaid invoices we end up with under our deposit scheme we will now begin sending out invoices at the beginning of the calender month for items due within that particular month, this will give you more notice and more time to pay, in most cases 3 weeks smile emoticon
Sadly this also means no more holds, customers are also responsible for keeping their address and personal details up to date and reading the deposit terms and conditions before agreeing to them.
Running the deposit scheme does not benefit us in any way, its for you guys so please treat it nicely, maybe even buy it some flowers or dinner but mostly just let us know in good time if you still wish to keep your item or cancel, we're only a phone call away and more than happy to help you out.

That actually saves a lot of hassle, that's the way to do it for me. Instead of forgetting there's 1 due and it arriving on the 20th when you're trying to juggle money around, you get it on payday (or at least close to it) and get it out the way.
I've never had an issue paying an invoice before so I wasn't expecting it to be cancelled that quickly. By the time I'd noticed I'd been sent it, it had already been cancelled. Is it next month Shockwave is due?

Bogatan tells a similar tale recently: Not too happy right now. Timing of the invoice for Devastator was not good for me, stuck at work all the time and needing to move money to the right place to pay, but it said I had till the 9th December so no problems, finally got money where it needed to be and was going to pay. Get in from work today to find the invoice has been cancelled a day early. Now have to wait for it to go up on the website and hope it doesnt sell out if I'm at work when it does. Plus side is my finances will be a bit healthier by the time I pay now, but doesnt do much good if I cant get one. He sorted it though So after phoning I sent an email asking if a fresh invoice could be sent. Today I got a new invoice and paid no problems. Strangely that wasnt an option suggested while on the phone. Anyway panic over. Is it next month Shockwave is due?
