This morning I punched the air in delight when I saw a Transformers: DOTM poster on the side of a bus.

Preview showing here next Tuesday at 2100, but I will be getting my sweat on watching Combichrist, dammit.

The sensible thing to do would be to knock off work early on the Wednesday and see the 1615 showing, but I just don't know. Damn it, the Tuesday preview is two quid cheaper! That's settled it. I'll pop in and buy a ticket tomorrow lunchtime. Martin

I've been told there's a showing on Tuesday at the local Cineworld but I'm fooked if I can find a listing for then on the website. I have no special desire to see it early other than the wish to be able to go on the internet without spoilers everywhere.

I think it is probably 21:00 - there is one at the Falkirk Cineworld then so I suspect it will be chain-wide, but I think it will probably be a 3D showing.
I've not real sense of hurry about getting to see it either. Also, as going to see it in 3D would be a bit pointless for me I will hold out for a 2D showing. Possibly on the Wednesday evening or something.

But I think all the Tuesday previews are indeed in 3D. Hmmm. You know, I'm not really going to save £2 by going on the Tuesday, as it'll probably mean I watch another film beforehand. I've been scared off seeing Green Lantern so it would more likely be a repeat of X-Men at 1740... which only costs £4.60 on Bargain Tuesday... Hmmm... Martin

Can't watch 3D so will have to wait until Wednesday. I'll stay off the internet Tuesday though: there are too many ignorant morons online who like to throw spoilers around.

Sad, but true.
Not sure what I am doing yet with seeing the film. Will have to get a babysitter sorted too.

Did anyone else read this thread title as "Too Early for Witty Titties" at first? No? Just me then.
I will be planning to go and see DOTM next Wednesday during the day. That's if orange Wednesdays applies to opening day films. I want to go before the school holidays start and the cinema is full of young screaming brats. I have yet to watch a 3D film, so this will be my first.

The local Odeon has DOTM listings for next Tuesday. Sadly, having wanted to see a Transformers film on an IMAX screen since the first one, it seems that it's not showing in Cardiff. I think they must be having work done, as there was nothing listed last week and there's nothing for this week nor next; the only thing on advance booking is Harry Potter.

I'm going to see it in Imax in London next month. And also possibly earlier.

I shall try and see it on Thursday the 30th, early doors at my local flea pit.
I'm cautiously optimistic!

How long should it still be shown in the cinemas for? - should it be about 2 months?

My local Odeon has recently practised an annoying policy of screening 2D films for only a week or two then cutting back on them in favour of 3D.
For example, Thor 2D was only only shown here for a week before being dropped from the schedule; from this weekend, Green Lantern 2D is only being shown in the daytime and not in the evening. Obviously, 3D versions are being shown in addition to 2D in those early weeks.
So, if you have a preference for 2D, keep an eye on your cinema times, especially if it's an Odeon.

It's been the reverse in my local Cineworld. Where previously 2D showings of 3D films were either only in the mornings (or not at all in some cases which is why I had to miss Green Hornet), there now are regular 2D showings in evenings. Which pleases me as it means I can still go the cinema regularly.

I've seen it twice now. Nigel's fault.
I have to say, IMAX 3D is ten times better than normal 3D. Rather than occasional scenes popping out of the screen at you, in IMAX 3D every scene comes across as three-dimensional.

I will likely catch this again before it leaves theatres due to having the cinema pass and should I be bored one afternoon/evening.

Martin, it's worth seeing in IMAX even having already seen it, then? I was thinking I probably wouldn't bother as the spectacle would be reduced.

I have to say, IMAX 3D is ten times better than normal 3D. Rather than occasional scenes popping out of the screen at you, in IMAX 3D every scene comes across as three-dimensional. I saw TF3 at the IMAX last night, and it was my first IMAX and first 3D experience. Didn't really work for me, sometimes it looked good but most of the time it was ok in one area, but blurred on another. And the action scenes or any kind of fast movement came across as jerky. Probably just my terrible eyesight, but if that's the best 3D can offer, then I shall be avoiding it in the future.

I'd like to see the film in a few weeks time after all the hype has died down and working on the theory that the cinema wont be filled with annoying people as they would have already seen the film.
The Hatchet Man's comments reinforce my personal intentions to hopefully see the film in 2D.

Just seen it.
Well, that was certainly... a film.
Wasn't impressed with the 3d either. It's my first 3d film, just felt like a headache really
