Thanks for the heads up! I was thinking that I might have been interested, but, actually, I think Baskerville's inks (I'm assuming they exist in a physical form) will probably make for better display pieces.
Modern IT has been a bit of a bummer for original art collecting. Whereas my pieces from the 80s / 90s have pencils, inks, letters and sometimes even titles (and if you were really lucky you might even have colour - curse my lack of money / foresight at Transforce 2000 when Lee Sullivan was selling his covers), now you get pencils, or you get inks (and sometimes the inks don't even exist). And if the inks do exist, they have probably never even passed through the hands of the original artist. If you were to buy Pat Lee pencils (I have considered it for the curiosity value), you don't even get backgrounds!

Ah yes, I saw the pages when they went up last night and balked at the prices. I see the opening splash page at £350 has gone already. Fair play to Wildman though. With brand new art to flog and the title currently 'hot' I don't blame him for trying to get a fair few bob for his pencils.
The inked pages are indeed available. Baskerville had them all available at AA 2012 and his prices were somewhat more reasonable : £80 for a double page or single splash page. Single pages were either £40 or £50. If he has any left, he might flog them on his Ebay account at some point perhaps?
I blew most of my budget at the con buying the inks for the opening splash page of #80.5 for him and I really, really, really should actually bother to get it framed!

Yeah, I got the unpublished inked cover to 80.5 from Baskerville for £60 at AA. Single pages were £40, will definitely hit him up for more inked stuff if I see anything I like in the issues.

I really liked page 1 so I snagged that, but a lot of the pages I didn't even look at because they were out of my price range.

You get the pencils for page 1 of #80.5? I have the inks. If we put them together, maybe something magical happens.

How can you buy a patlee page of art when most of his pages don't exist because they are editted & flipped images on computer - known as stat page. The only piece I think would be worth getting is that wizard piece but mainly because Alvin Lee did a good job on it- sure he worked on it.
Just image getting hold of Guido original cover art

Then depending on what the Zero Space swirly thing comes to mean, we could have the power to create/destroy the Universe!

Some gorgeous art there, I suspect some of it is priced so high because Wildman can't bear to part with it!
Amazing to think though that there are going to be 20 issues of ReGeneration one, if there are seperate pencils/inks for every page thats going to total well over 500 pages, theres a lot more to come!
Marc.

My page arrived yesterday and I'm very pleased with it. And just like with Ralph's version of the page I really, really, really need to get it framed. Can't get to the shops for a few days though.

Why has Phil moved a post that doesn't have Marvel UK original artwork in it to the Marvel UK original artwork thread?

Well Regen One is technically part of the Marvel run... -Ralph Technically it is a sequel to the Marvel run, not part of it, as it's IDW. And as has been pointed out it only follows the Marvel US run. It would be more appropriate to post Marvel US artwork in this thread than Regen, as the Marvel US stories were at least featured in a Marvel UK publication. Martin

Because there was no other thread and it was a new acquisition, and has Toy Story 4 not taught us that anything can be a toy??

Back to the New Acquisitions thread, Phil!

A quick title change soon fixes that now that more than one artist is flogging art from the series!

Mr Wildman also has pencils for sale. Via his website andrewwildman.org/comics/I may have put in an enquiry on a couple of pages...
