I have Crosscut and Road Rage, and I actually kept hold of those when I got rid of my Skids and Tracks .

Sunstorm was re-issued in Encore? I had no idea. What number was it? It wasn't part of the Encore range. It was re-released as an e-Hobby exclusive when the Thundercracker & Skywarp release came out.

TF Wiki has it down as an Encore release, but then it also says it came with a comic and mine didn't. I only realised it wasn't the original because the box is dated 2008 and has the Takara Tomy logo. When I was researching it I think I saw a picture that showed the "Collector's Edition" flash on the box is on a different corner. I think the toy itself is identical, so the only way to tell the difference would presumably be those few box differences.

I'm a little surprised to find the only one I have is Smallfoot from the Gobot set. Laser Ultra Magnus and the rest of the gobots are the only ones I ever really considered buying. I wouldn't mind Twincast one day though. Orin Pax and Dion are a fun repaint too. Omega Sentinel and the cassette repaints are the only other items I've ever paid much attention too. Oh and Hauler, mostly because its green. Andy

Laser Ultra Magnus was indeed pretty sweet. I had one for a while, didn't keep him for long though (bit too big, not enough storage space!)
Worst E-Hobby release was probably Galvatron II, and maybe Twincast. Galvatron II because the release was pretty redundant, Twincast because I'd rather have had a new character to expand the universe rather than another reissue, and lets face it, I can imagine Twincast having done well as a normal Japanese release anyway.

I don't own any, and know very little about them, until this thread anyway! Some of them look very cool.

Several of them - cars, insecticons & triple changers - are old Diaclone colour schemes brought back. See www.diaclone.net/orid/list.html and scroll down to the section that starts D37 and click on the links in there.

I have a few of the E-Hobby recolours and I quite like the ones I got. The only ones I don't have that I do really want are the Minibots set. I have Treds from James O's great toy giveaway, which he got from the Hub, but don't feel like paying the current ebay prices for the rest.

Soundwave looks okay, though can someone explain the Blaster to me?

I can't. A CG render doesn't really sell it.
But the sight of that white Soundwave render is doing funny things to my tummy.

I'll be getting it for the tapes!
I prefered the idea behind the more recent Wingthing/Enemy and Stripes/Nightstalker tapes than random recolours and calling it SG, but still, new tapes and Ratbat in Batman colours is good enough.

Those are some interesting colour schemes. I'm not sure that the white Soundwave really floats my boat, but I do like the look of the cassettes though.

Hmm. Now that I can see what Soundwave looks like in dictaphone mode I find that colour scheme is growing on me somewhat. Liking the red Eject/Rewind repaint - I get a very Rumble-esque vibe from him.

Price is $195 plus shipping etc. I suppose that isnt much worse than the £60 each of the reissues was going for in the UK, but that already had the cuta action included. This thing will cost the best part of £170 all in.
And putting it up the month after the subscription set. At the same time as about 5 MP figures are being released by Taktom or Hasbro and as people need to start saving for Christmas.
Words fail.
