I'm out of buying Transformers these days and have been drastically culling my collection for various reasons but I have to admit if I saw that set at a con for a reasonable price I could be very tempted.

You know, I bet people will be doubling their money splitting these sets up and selling the cassettes individually. I really don't want the players but the Cassette Quest is the Cassette Quest.

After opening Legacy Crosscut tonight, I found myself on TFWiki looking at e-Hobby releases. Out of curiosity, I thought I'd look on eBay for some of the releases I never had at the time (which is most of them, actually). I don't think I'll be adding any to my collection any time soon! I think It's just Sunstorm and Cobalt Sentry that I own.

I did the same a few months ago and came to pretty much the same conclusion. I bought the diaclone insecticons, Twincast and Cobalt Sentries when they were originally released - I don't know why I didn't just get them all at the time (well I do know - lack of money). Bought black Megatron around Christmas but I think I'll avoid the rest of the range unless I see a real bargain.

I think part of the reason I didn't go for some of the e-Hobby repaints at the time - other than cost - was that I didn't see them as "proper" characters. But now they've been around so long, they've become part of the fabric. So now I'm finding the new versions, such as Legacy Crosscut, desirable as a result - I don't have existing versions.

I just have the Cobalt Sentries left, which were a gift. The other E-Hobby stuff was moved on during Bad Times. However, some of it went to Toy-Fu where it did some good.
