Surprised to see several Masterpiece toys in the window of the new Cash Converters on the way home - two Acid Storms and an -11 Skywarp.
Didn't stop to check on the price - as I've already got Acid Storm, and the -11 Skywarp would be a downgrade from my MP-6 - but I was just surprised to see them there. But perhaps after the massive pile of Anderson stuff that showed up in the Sally-Ann shop down the road in the summer I should have been expecting the unexpected!

Can't guarantee it is cheap, but next time I am passing I will see if I can find out - it is on the best-line route to campus, railway station, town-centre etc... so I will undoubtedly be passing soon.

I can't condone Cash Convertors. Essentially a pawn shop used by a great many of my former clients when I worked with disadvanted people. Many of the items inside are attached to acres of human misery.
I would strongly advise people not to give the company their patronage.

We already have one elsewhere in the town, but it looks like they are opening another branch that is "more convenient" for one of the more deprived areas of the town centre. FP: Birmingham had the Toxitron deluxes in considerable strength this afternoon. I was quite surprised to see several Road Rocket and Burnout were also sitting there, given the £10.99 asking price they wanted for them.
Admittedly it is not like I helped by taking any of them off their hands. But then, I wasn't there for Transformers - the objective was the Witch from Mercury gunpla stock downstairs and I had to stay on mission...

Spotted Earthspark Jawbreaker and Starscream in TK Maxx a couple of days ago, along with some Rise of the Beasts stuff. Which was a surprise. One of the main characters of the recent cartoon, showing up for their first appearance in the UK in a clearance store? Oh Hasbro, never change. (Please change.)

Went into Smyths today - just out of curiosity as I was down that end of town getting Wellington Boots from The Range. I was amused to see that they had about two of most things that they had left after Christmas, carefully propped at the front of the shelf to make it look full.
Except that most of the deluxes they had would only cover one shelf. So rather than have the shelf below look almost empty, they had taken the Studio Series Gamer Edition Autobot Cliffjumper(TM) and spread the remaining fifteen of him one deep along the second deluxe shelf... Making it look like they had "some" of the deluxes from the back of last year, and "Effectively Unlimited" SSGE Autobot Cliffjumpers. This did amuse me.
