Excellent! I had given up hope of us seeing later waves of Universe Legends.
I shall monitor the local ASDA closely!

And for anyone who still wants one, the Bumblebee triple-pack (Classics, Movie & Animated) showed up out of the blue today. Don't know how much it is but I'll try to find out tomorrow. -Nick Any news on the price of the Legacy of Bumblebee set? To my shame I still haven't picked up deluxe Animated 'Bee and I quite fancy the Classic one in that set too. If it's resonable I'm deffo picking it up.

I was in TRU the other day for one of my bi-annual visits. They had loads. Er, did not catch the price.
What I did notice that was new to me were '07 Movie Voyager Optimus Primes in cylindrical tubs. Toy is in robot mode and appears to have mild 'battle damage' deco added.

One Universe Legends Starscream has made it's way to my local asda. Still the animated legends dominate that little shelfspace.

Wave 4 Universe Legends Brawn, Bumblebee and Animated Starscream reached local ASDA today. No Beachcombers. Presumably the vast local Beachcomber fanbase have snapped him up first.

If it's resonable I'm deffo picking it up. It is 29.99. A tenner a throw for three deluxe figures. Movie BB has his battle mask and grey parts where the original has black. Dunno if that helps sway you. -Nick

Also, Classics Bumblebee is yellow with black rather than yellow with white. The movie Bumblebee in the set is the Premium version. I hadn't realised it was Wal-Mart's exclusive. I'm a little surprised it's turned up in Toys 'R' Us rather than Asda.

There was 1 Universe Legends Beachcomber in ASDA. It is now mine. And I only went in for a granary baguette and cranberry juice.

I picked up the Legend's Bumblebee in Asda a few days ago, and I'm rather annoyed. Mine has two right legs and can't fully Transform as the feet/front of car won't line up properly. - Tony

Well, it didn't actually make it out of the stock room, but there was a ROTF sighting in Toys'r'us Govan today! A single box from today's 40ft container-load of new stock. It was the Energon Superion repaint and will presumably be a store exclusive. It doesn't look too bad. On the box was a dramatic orange stamp: "DO NOT REMOVE UNTIL 21ST JUNE 2009". So... apparently, our release date is 3 weeks later than the US. Huh. -Nick

This was in the spoiler bit, but the ROTF preview figures were in FPG on Sunday.
IIRC store exclusives are not supposed to be out until the week of the movie release in the US (after the main line has already started rolling out). Maybe it is the same here.

Well, another weird assortment on the truck today.
Anybody who missed out on Nightwatch Optimus Prime, we now have about two dozen of the suckers. Anybody who missed out on/couldn't find First Strike Optimus Prime, Incinerator or Off Road Ironhide, they suddenly showed up in a box that just said "TF Movie voyager assortment". Anybody who missed out on ANY of the Allspark Power Legends 2-packs can now get them from Toys'r'us (at least in Govan), thanks to the '08 wave 3' assortment which has no less than seven different packs in a box of 12. Jazz is the only doubler (although Bumblebee also appears as Cliffjumper) and apart from Frenzy I believe the entire cast is now available.
We also got another 8 cases of the Energon Superion repaint, and four cases of the preview wave (4 each of Bumblebee and Someone) with a shelf date of Friday. At the rate this stuff is arriving, we're going to be festooned with it by mid-June.
There's another delivery on Friday. Stay tuned, sports fans!

Anybody who missed out on/couldn't find First Strike Optimus Prime, Incinerator or Off Road Ironhide, they suddenly showed up in a box that just said "TF Movie voyager assortment". Well, that's a curious assortment. FSOP and Incinerator were in a wave of their own in the UK, whilst ORI wasn't released over here - he would have been in a wave with Evac, which was cancelled. According to BBTS, all four were Wave 3 in the USA. Excellent! I had given up hope of us seeing later waves of Universe Legends. I shall monitor the local ASDA closely! I reckon Asda is the best bet for finding Legends. Universe Legends are in their top 10 toys. Also, this year Hasbro UK has changed the availability of Legends (Universe and ROTF) - they are now ordered factory direct rather than Hasbro UK having its own stock, which generally means that only the big buyers order them. Personally, I don't see Hasbro's logic here, as Legends were the biggest seller (both volume and value) from the first film and Movie Legends only actually dropped out of the year-on-year toy sales top ten in the last couple of months.

Ah, but do you really expect logic from Hasbro UK?
RE: FSOP/Incinerator. Cases of these must be doing the rounds. Some have popped up in FPG in recent weeks.

I have seen ROTF Bumblebee, and it is UGLY. Even in comparison to the 1977 Camaro version. Avoid, my peoples, avoid like the plague.

Look at all the toys release last time round - Energon Strongarm repaint, not in the film but used in the UK comic.

Peter can you avoid talking about the movie toys in here. You can post about them in the TF2 section. That was made to keep the Hub as spoiler safe as was possible.
Cheers.

Surprised to see new toys in local ASDA today: Marvel Crossovers Iron Man repaint, Carnage, Thor and Iron Man. The latter two catch my eye, but I shall wait. I can see these being remaindered to clear space for ROTF, given how poorly they sell.

I hope the Marvel Crossovers get a price slash soon. They've already been chopped down to £9 each on HLJ, so it is only a matter of time.

The Toymaster in Ryde had a huge stock of ROTF figures in today, including lots of toys that I can't mention.
I also spotted a Power Ranger KO in other shop that had the amusingly literal name of 'Big Sword Person'. Yes, he had a sword and was fairly large.
