The only other Springer figure is a Robot Hero. Apparently Springer was going to be in the movie and play a major-ish role, hence the 1st wave legend and Robot Hero, but was abruptly cut from the film for some reason (I'm betting availably issues for the osprey since there aren't that many of them about) and plans for his larger toy/toys were scrapped. It seems a bit of a funny reason since plenty of characters that were never even intended to be in the movie or are only in it for five seconds have toys but there you go.
Oh Ralph did you notice which Animated voyagers TK Maxx had in?

In the timeframe that they were doing the filming I think a lot of the Marine Corp ones were in Iraq, and the Air Force hasn't got many of theirs as yet I don't believe. The Legends Springer was the first, and so far only Legends toy I have bought so far. I wasn't particularly impressed with him for my £3.49. He felt a bit cheap and nasty. It kind of put me off buying any more of the Movie Legends. Karl

ROTF Walmart Ramjet and Skywarp in A1. They are rather spiffy repaints, come with a lenticular art card and good bios on the back of the box (all in English). I thought £30 was a bit steep for repaints though when new moulds are £23. Could be tempted by the Ramjet if it pops up in ASDA.

Grrrr. None in mine, nor are there likely to be. ROTF has already been and gone in my local ASDA. They got in 1 case of fast action battlers, one case of robot heroes and one case of scouts. When they sold, the shelf tags for ROTF were taken off. Then most of the toys dept vanished, replaced by seasonal items, is BBQ stuff. All that remains Transformers wise are the Animated wave 1 deluxes they've been unable to sell for 7 months now!

More Sainsbury's price madness: Legends have went up from £3 to £3.99.
Not surprisingly, the £9.99 Scouts are gathering dust.

A couple of weeks ago, my local ASDA replaced two thirds of their small toy section with 'seasonal items', ie stuff for BBQ's. Then a week later half of what was left of the toys was replaced by booze. Then, today, the last of the toys had gone. What we now have is an extra booze aisle instead. For context, we have a rate of above 50% of the local population drink to excess and we have the third lowest life expectancy in Scotland.
Hmmm. I now live somewhere where you can't buy books and now can't buy toys off a shelf. But you can get pissed to your heart's content. Sigh.
In other news, I was out for a walk in a Glasgow park earlier and popped into ASDA Govan for some juice. They had literally dozens of ROTF Skywarps and Ramjets quietly gathering dust. £25, which is taking the piss I think. Tempted by Ramjet, but not at that rip-off price.
I also noticed they had ROTF Legends...for a fiver. Good luck with that.
Happily, however, the pocket money section had loads of TF tat. 2007 Movie and 'Energon Wars' 3-D Battle Pack card games, 12-inch giant ROTF pencils, giant ROTF pens (all for a pound). Also, some ROTF lunch bags, art cases and backpacks for £4. Some Animated tat too: napkins, Optimus Prime balloons, paper plates, paper cups, etc.
Luckily, I had left my wallet at home so resisted the cheap tat!

They seem to be changing the price all the time on those.... it wouldn't surprise if they come back down to £15 before long as there's no way they'll shift them at £25.

Price madness in ASDA Dumbarton.
One row of ROTF Skywarps with 'ROLLBACK: £15' sticker. One row of ROTF Ramjets with 'TRANSFORMER: £20' sticker. I even checked the SKU's, but that is indeed the prices. Madness. They're the same size class in the same case assortment!

We got more "TRA MV2 DELUXE WV2" this morning at Toys'r'us. I stuck a couple of boxes down at the feature display, but to my surprise they contained a completely different assortment from the previous wave 2 boxes we've received, some of which are still in the stock room now. Anyway, this new wave 2 (which I guess should be wave 3 if you count the previews as wave 1) contains:
2 x Skids 2 x Chromia 2 x Wheelie 1 x 'Deep Desert' Brawl 1 x Smokescreen (movie 1 Jazz in blue with red trim)
The good news is we have ten different deluxe figures available between the two assortments, for what must be the first time since Beast Wars. The bad news is the bloody special offer (spend over £45 and get a free deluxe figure) ended on Sunday!

The Ramjets moved to the DVD aisle last week. This week, none had sold. They have now been reduced to £10*. Skywarp remains at £15! I was tempted by a cheap Ramjet, especially as I am unlikely to be in that area for another couple of weeks. However, as AA is only a week away I thought it best to resist and save my pennies. -Ralph *Though the stickers say 'reduced from £15'...even though they were bing sold previously for £20!
