Next to a mountain of unsellable Biker Mice from Mars variants, if memory serves.

I was in the colossal Tesco Extra in Springburn on Friday. They had the usual smattering of helmets and tat, deluxe wave 4, Legends wave 1 and Robot Replicas wave 2 (Jazz, Optimus Prime and Frenzy).
On Saturday, Toys'r'us had Robot Heroes wave 3 with the movie characters. Frenzy looks even creepier in plastic than in person. In other news, our branch is completely out of leader-class toys. Yes, even the 22 cases of Megatron we received in November have cleared. Scary stuff.

I spotted oversized KOs of Cybertron Optimus Prime, Jetfire and another unidentified plane transformer in Toymaster for £3 each. I bought Prime, but could not find a Jetfire or plane TF that was in good condition.
The build quality on Prime is surprisingly good for a KO, with tight joints (I had to get a knife to split his cab and legs in the vehicle-to-robot transformation) and bright colours inspired by the Japanese toy. Each box is labelled 'League of the Transformable' and shows photographs of RiD Optimus, Ultra Magnus and combined Omega Prime on the artwork.

In unrelated news, Toys'r'us Govan received 28 cases of wave 1 deluxe figures last weekend. We have about 20 left. Good thing too, since we've only got the Bumblebee-Longarm 2-pack, wave 1 Robot Replicas, wave 1 Real Gears and TECH roleplay crap left. I suspect we'll be out of the 2-packs by Saturday if we don't get more in.

This the one with Recon Barricade for Jazz ? A bit late for the DVD release but well done to Hasbro for getting the toys from the movie that people actually want back to the shelves.
****s up an article on case assortments I wanted to write.

Swansea TRU also had loads of Wave 1 on Friday - no other Deluxe. They also had, if I remember the Waves correctly, Wave 1 Real Gear - Longview, Speed Dial 800 and Power Up VT6. Besides those, it was pretty much loads of shelf warmers, such as Unleashed and TECH.
Meanwhile, if anybody has been wondering where the Legends are, Swansea Woolworths had a full four shelves of them, plus a shelf of Recon Barricade and about four other single items.

No luck finding Payload or Dropkick cheap in Kingston. So Play keeps my order.

Actually Nige, the only reason we had the Unleashed was because more turned up last week. Yep, they sold out too. And come returns season they will alllll come back as parents wonder why their very-visibly-a-statue doesn't turn into a sports car and decide it's all our fault.

Ooh, I just remembered - I saw the SWTF Millennium Falcon in TRU last week, repackaged in a smaller 30th anniversary box.

I just saw a couple of new TECH in Woolworths, £14.99 each: Flash Bang and Tight Shot. I quite like the first two that were released, featuring as they do, Optimus pictures and one has a fun version of the Transformers theme. These two new toys, though, just seem like unrelated tat with Transformers stickers on them. If you haven't seen them, look here.

New Argos cat out with a few new bits - TF movie scene sets -look like small Titanium style sets, Op and Bumblebee costumes, some of the tech toys, an LCD game had not seen before, but in general nothing which I do not think has not been seen before - dissappointing - may have missed something What I did not miss and wish I had was a dalek costume for a kid - even the shild wearing it looked ashmed. A ball strewn skirt, plunger nipples comming out and a dalek stalk coming out of your hed - this would get any child beaten up at halloween

Looking at the website, I assume the movie scene sets are the Screen Battles; these are the deluxe figures packaged with human figures. The Optimus costume was there before, but yes the Bumblebee is new. The LCD game was also there before (I think it may have been an addition rather than being in the actual catalogue). They also now have the Allspark Blasters.

Tescos have Allspark Battles Legends 2-packs featuring Nightwatch Optimus Prime and Stealth Starscream.
I didn't see the price, nor did I get them as they both looked rubbish.

They didn't have that one in the Tesco I visited this afternoon, but they did have the Rescue Ratchet/Decepticon Brawl pack. There were one or two packs gone, so perhaps they are in the same assortment. £5.97.
Woolworths had Cyber Slammers Cliffjumper and Jazz.

Cliffjumper (boring repaint of the Bumblebee I shall probably be shedding soon anyway), Autobot Camshaft and Landmine (Like Landmine, he's rather nice) in Asda and Woolworths in Falkirk.
Also Leader Megatron and Optimus Prime, and Ratchet (green) and Blackout mysteriously restocked in Woolworths, completely out of the blue. Nearly weakened and bought Blackout. But fortunately my brain kicked in and reminded me that if I bought it I couldn't afford a Revoltech Patlabor this month. Brought me back to Earth with a bump and Blackout remained on the shelves.

Perhaps there are some surplus wave 1 cases doing the rounds of the supply chain. Do really like the look of Landmine though would prefer to 'try before I buy'. £10 is worth more for me these days! -Ralph
