The barcode didn't work on it so I gave the cashier the SKN number from the Roadbuster one. In hindsight that was a mistake as Leader Asst is a different SKN and I'll need to mention that to my manager next time I'm in. D'oh. I hope they're the same price- it'd be a bit mad to charge twice as much for Animated Megatron if he's got a wee sticker on the bottom of his box but is otherwise identical to the ones we had from before!

A large pile of them has turned up in Sainsburys Drumchapel. Different price though: £22.99! More importantly, however, in the very same store: Lenticular tins with marshmallows! £2. Even better: Ceramic TF MUG with marshmallows, hot chocolate and TRANSFORMING COASTER (ie lenticular bit of round card). £4. I'll be picking up one of those next time I'm in! I would have bought one there and then but it had been an expensive weekend. -Ralph

No more have appeared since last report. We did, however, get the Universe voyagers in today. Given that everything else Universe has been discounted recently (the deluxes months ago, the ultras in the last few weeks) and the fact that the boxes say "2008" I suspect these chaps will not be at full price forever.
We've got a new catalogue launching on Wednesday- I expect a few TF reductions along with it.

TK Max had US packaged Powerglide for £15 and US packaged Animated Voyager Prime for £10. Highly tempted by PG, but think I'll hold out for the Walmart red version. Oh and Mexican Sentinel Prime and not sure of origin Marvel crossover Ironman at £9 each.

One random Universe Onslaught turned up in the local store for £15. I'd rather wait for Hardhead.

There were a couple of interesting boxed sets in TRU Cardiff on Saturday.
One was a Deluxe two-pack containing Wheelie and Sideways for £19.99. Sideways is repainted in darker tones whilst Wheelie appeared to be the same as the individual release.
The second was "Gathering at the Nemesis", a £59.99 set containing a recoloured 2007 Voyager Megatron, royal blue Soundwave and The Fallen. (I think Dave was the same as the individual release, but there wasn't one around to compare.)
Also, a case's worth of the Universe Voyagers but no blue Magnus.
TK Maxx had a bunch of imports, some unusually from Korea: Unleashed Turnaround Megatron £12.99, Robot Heroes Final Battle set £12.99, Commemorative Skids £19.99, Animated Cyber Stomper (or whatever they're called) Street Patrol Bumblebee £9.99 (I think that was the name - I'd have snapped him up but for a nasty paint chip on his chest), Marvel Crossovers grey Hulk and Human Torch £8.99, Animated Voyager Optimus and Megaton £9.99 and a couple of different arm blasters.

Bought a Universe/Classics Onslaught in TK Maxx yesterday. Man, is it one good toy. Really, it's great. A slightly Tumbler Batmobile-ish SWAT vehicle. Nice and poseable, very satisfying transformation just the right side of puzzle-y, looks great in both mode. As for the grey Powerglide, he's still a good toy even if you authentically red. You can even sticker him up as a new incarnation of Micromaster Hothouse, thanks to some fanboy decals. www.reprolabels.com/Classics/hothouse.php

I hear tell that various FP stores have the near mythical Universe Legends Wave 5 (Rodimus, Warpath, Wheelie & Cosmos) in for aprox £6 a throw. Keep em peeled for more reasonable sightings elsewhere !

Four Cheetors, and a big space where the others presumably lived. Damn it. Perhaps for the best though. I'm not sure they would have accepted 2 cheese sandwiches and a packet of Ryvita Minis for a Hound and Starscream. -Ralph

There can't be a Sainsbury's anywhere near Toys'r'us Govan- we were swarming with punters today! Sold four Devastators during my shift alone! The place really took a hammering. Glad I didn't have to stick around to tidy up.
