*Choke*. I dread to think how much that many points costs. Is the HMV scheme the one you have to pay to join as well? EDIT: 100 points for every £1 spent. So Grimlock is yours for only £1,200!

I just saw the catalogue. Legdev's listed as an exclusive. One I shall have to buy.....
Not quite a toy as such, but TRU Cardiff had new Transformers goodies in their gashapon machines or bubble gum dispensers or whatever you want to call them - little ROTF figures in a pewter style. They also have large "eco friendly" reusable shopping bags featuring various children's brands including ROTF - Optimus on the front, the TRU logo on the back and the red pattern from the toy boxes as the background. The ROTF bag is £1.99.

I noticed that a Waspinator in TRU was in US packaging, not the Mexican versions that have been seen so far.

Neither did I till I saw it. It was grey and I can't remember the name. No, hang on. Maybe it was a repaint of the Movie Legends Brawl. Yeah, I think it was. Sorry, I'm not being much use, am I? Edit. It might have been this one: tfwiki.net/wiki/Tankor_%28ROTF%29 I thought it was a grey one I saw, though.

I saw some new RPMs toys in Tesco that I hadn't seen before - Light and Sound cars. They're non-transforming chunky cars (think Bumblebee in a GoBots style) with various push-button sound effects. About £10, I think.

Wow.
The new Hamleys in Glasgow is suffering in the post-Christmas action figure drought. They have a massive TF display, 8ft across emblazoned with logos and banners in front of a kid-scale Optimus Prime truck laden with... unrelated R/C cars. What does the display consist of? 10 Animated Swoops, half a dozen big Devastators marked down to a still-silly 70 quid, and every peg full of RPMs. The single packs are the same four characters Toys'r'us has had since July. Most of the two-packs seem to have one from that wave in them too, although they do serve to prove that there are actually more than four RPM moulds (in my field of experience- I know other moulds have shown up in Tesco's, but not one near me). Hamley's were the only shop I'd seen the RPM playset in.
No new TF joy in Toys'r'us apart from NEST Bumblebee and Soundwave, at a very fair £19.99.

Is the Hamleys in Glasgow as expensive as the London shop? Last time I was there, everything I looked at was about 20% above RRP.
I actually sold a lot of RPMs in the run up to Christmas, especially Bumblebee. There are still an awful lot of that first wave out there, though. I think the only place I've seen later waves (I don't know how many there are) is Argos.

I do, but for the pre-school I work at. It started when I bought an Optimus Prime out of curiosity. I've since bought a Megatron and Bumblebee.
I have to agree with Nigel, the Bumblebee RPM is quite popular. The one I have here is liked more than Prime and Megs.
I'll be picking up the 2 pack with Barricade on my way home tonight.

The boy next door has at least RPMs Bumblebee; he told me once that he wants to collect all the RPMs. There was a boy at a collector fair I was selling at in November that said, "Ooh! RPMs." So they seem to be popular amongst children. If there'd been RPMs when I was a boy I think I'd have had some. I used to "transform" my toy cars by standing them on end and opening the boot (feet), doors (arms) and bonnet (a head of sorts) - I'm sure I can't be the only person who did that. RPMs must tap into that idea.
Anyway, on the subject of RPMs, that first wave that is still easier to come by than any others has now been repackaged on the newer style cards, those with the toys mounted horizontally rather than vertically. Asda has them. I guess that explains their advert on the back of the current issue of the comic that pictures them with an "all new characters" caption. The others pictured in the ad were also in stock.

Though the Entertainer was closed due to refurbishments, hopefully meaning it's getting a better toyline next month <.<

A new wave of RPMs is available in Toys'r'us- I can't remember exactly who's in it but I did see Barricade, Jolt and Mixmaster. Also joining us on a recent delivery truck was the 'lost' wave of deluxe figures- wave 4. It contained:
2 x Blaze Master 2 x Jolt 2 x Skids & Mudflap (ice cream van) 2 x Dead End (Sideways repaint)
