Hmmm. Still a bit outside my experience but I have seen more of this than I have Turtles:-
1) Man-At-Arms - the one MOTU figure I had. Removable armour and a big club for smiting things with. What's not to love?
2) He-Man - big barbarian-looking fellow with a sword, like a Franzetta painting made of plastic
3) Ram-man - yes, it is a bit daft looking, the gimmick is odd. But it is the right kind of daft and the right kind of odd.
4) Battle-cat - green and yellow lion-thing designed to be a riding beast. Works for me.
5)......

My experience of Lego Advent Calendars is rather limited, so my favourite Calendar items are all pretty much from this year.
1) Fire Service ATV - fun little kit to put together. 2) Major Derlin - he has such a lovely grim determined expression under his hat nd goggles. 3) Star Destroyer - a miniature avatar of Imperial oppression/law and justice that is neatly pocket sized but just sums up Star Detroyer. 4) Remote Control Fire Engine - just such a fun idea 5) Lego Christmas Tree - the perfect sized Christmas tree for my available lounge space. :-) looks great with Mini-figure gathered around it with heir mugs of coffee and whatnot.

Week 4 (Yes, late again) 1 Stinkor. I remember getting it for Easter and it mediately being relegated to storage in a margarine tub, brilliantly stinky.
2 Mossman Hes a man and hes made of moss. I dont think I had one as a kid but did get a brill orange knock off on holiday in Spain. It was rubbish and non mossy but great. 3 Snoutspout as Phil said its great.
4 Extendor along with Snout Spout my cousin owned this and it was always the ones I wanted to play with.
5 I dont know, Battle Cat, Man at Arms, King Hiss, Modulok, so many
Week 5 I have precisely 1 calendar so its a small selection to work from
1 R2-Snow2, Snow2D2
2 Santa Maul
3 ATAT
4 Cliff
5 Gungan Chap.

1) 2012 City Santa and his Snowmobile: in terms of parts Christmas Eve was the best day a minifigure and a small vehicle. Knowing what needed to come in the last three days I was wondering quite how they were going to do it in the run up. Top marks here
2) 2012 City Equipment Racks: Stuff for your figures to use and brickwork patterned bricks. Hard to choose a fave out of the three as they were all very good.
3) 2011 SW Black R2 Unit
4) 2012 SW Power Droid
5) 2012 SW Rebel Fleet Trooper
All minifigures I hadn't got from elsewhere! Woo!
You may be able to guess what tomorrow's Top 5 Toys will be......

I'm going to have to mirror Hero, partially because I don't remember what toys came out last year, beyond TFs and TMNT. Also, these, and the Club IEs are the only things I got this year, that didn't come out in a previous year.
I'd like to put CIE Atrocitus on this list, but he doesn't make the cut due to scrawny size.
So, in no order: 2012 Mainline TMNTs (Listing all four as one, because they're largely the same toy, dispite being all unique sculpts) Mattel Club Infinite Earths Poison Ivy CIE Elastigirl CIE Platinum
That's only four... oh well, I cheated anyway and listed the four turtles as one. So lets break them and count as two. That's less cheaty.
It's ashame that Mattel finally started making really good faces and upper torsos for females *after* the DCUC line goes belly up. Now, here's hoping they make better lower torsos (Though, at least they don't look like they have diaper hips, anymore)
Honorary mentions: All the CB Doctor Whos that Bogatan hooked me up with! The entire The Hobbit line.... they look *amazing.*

Week 6 Hmm I dont know if I bought anything from 2012 except Transformers and a few lego. But anyway, Masterpiece Thundercracker Prime 1st Ed Bulkhead Prime Breakdown Jabba's Palace (not opened it yet, but looks good) TF Prime Vehicon
Week 7 As I was waiting for the bus coming home with Jabbas Palace a woman at the stop was going on about bags of vintage star wars her son had left in the loft. I'm quite certain she was hoping I would want to buy them, she even mentioned a price despite me resolutely showing no interest. Still I cant think I would have an easier job coming up with a top 5.
AT ST only vehicle I had growing up X Wing Okay only 2 vehicles I had erm I guess Millenium Falcon ATAT and.... Ywing look good too.

Week 7.
1. Darth Vaders Command Center (Not sure if that counts as a vehicle or playset, to be honest.) 2. X-Wing Fighter (with added battle damage stickers! Applied once, regretted for life!) 3. AST-5 (Could never remember if this was Star Wars or GI Joe. Now, at last, I know!) 4. Odd thing with a bubble canopy and legs and arms that I can't find on the website 5. AT-AT (Big and fun, although I do remember wanting it to look more like the tall thin versions in the movies)

I don't recall if I actually owned any of the vehicles from our childhood. BUt the ones which stick out in my memory are;
Y-Wing Snowspeeder Speeder Bike (even if it never stayed together) Jabba playset And I have strange memories of Ewok stuff that isn't on those links. Catapults and Log Traps.

1. Millenium Falcon - it is the Falcon, is a fun playset/base for figures and a supremely chunky vehicle for a youngster to fly about 2. Darth Vader's Tie Fighter - another good chunky vehicle that is good fun to swish about the room when you are young 3. Cap-2 - I don't know why, it just always seemed a lot of fun to play with. 4 AT-AT - because it is an AT AT and those things are both marvelous and silly at the same moment, and because coming down to unwrap that huge chunky box on Christmas Day was a very memorable event. 5. Y-Wing - I just like Y-Wings, they are like the P-47's or Hurricanes of the Star Wars universe, never getting the glory but they always struck me as stolid and dependable and that endeared them to me.

It was mostly figures I had back in the day (mainly from ROTJ). Only playset type thing I had was the chicken walker which got heavy play for several years! It was lost, alas. Twas a treasured childhood toy which would not have been intentionally thrown out.
