Just occassionally the so-called Expanded Universe delivers the right kind of bonkersness. The Cap-2 is an early example of that principle.

This thread really should end up "top five Star Wars Toys," as variations of Star Wars have come up a couple times already. Or at least it feels like it.

Star Wars vehicles and playsets!
1 Death Star. Cardboard glorious beautifulness. I still have it. And play with it! 2 Imperial Hoth Attack base. I had litterally millions of hours of fun playing with this. 3 AT-AT. It even boosted my Decepticon forces during TF play! 4 Malenium Falcon. Again, hours of fun. 5 Y-Wing. For some reason my favorite rebel fighter.

Two lists again for me this week:
OWNED
1 Millenium Falcon: Brilliant 2 X-Wing - the lack of a droid socket annoyed me! 3 Snowspeeder - LOVED the Snowspeeder toy. My brother broke the hatch on my 8th birthday 4 AT-AT Walker - SUPERB. 5 Land of the Jawas - robot goes up, robot goes down. surface. escape pod. The one downside is the Sandcrawler is cardboard.
Honourable mention for the Turret & Probot playset but lets face it there isn't a bad Star Wars vehicle out there

WANTED
1 Death Star (Palitoy version) - the ultimate playset 2 Y-Wing - it's got a droid socket R2D2 or R5D4 (since owned updated version) 3 Imperial Shuttle - HUGE and not available in the UK (since owned updated version) 4 Imperial Attack Base - the Hoth base I didn't have 5 Creatre Cantina - so nearly owned and never saw again

The Imperial Attack Base is fantastic with its collapsing sections. Set up all your troops- then the attack begins and they all get taken out by the press of a lever! Brilliant. Genious.
But the Death Star. Aw mamma. Mine's got some damage here and there now, but when I was a kid this playset just made my life complete. What fun. And it is still the scene for many battles.

It'll mostly be a list made up of "wanted" stuff for me. I had a few Action Force vehicles when I was a youngster but coveted far more.

Yes please vote for stuff you just want. In fact I've got Top 5 toys I wanted but never owned lined up for the future. Anyhow. Fave GI Joe vehicle. From the one I have/had: Hiss - a design classic. Beautiful. Woefully unreleased in the 87+ UK line meaning Cobra's ground forces were short on armour and arguably their signature vehicle with just two ground vehicle (The Ferret & Stinger) to the Joe's four (Mirage, AWE Striker, Snow Cat and MBT Mauler) . I've got a 2009(?) reissue and it's fab. Wolverine - It's a missile battery. on tank tracks. Driven by a girl. Fab. Sharc - Never had one of these till the reissue but it's a good fun solid toy. There's a reason why there's so many repaints of this toy it is that good. Again woefully unreleased in the 87+ UK Line ..... Water Moccasin - I'd argue that Cobra's 1987 Action Force water forces were over stated with both the Moray and the Water Moccasin and with the Water Moccasin also appearing in the 1985 AF Line it should be the one to go (in favour of the HISS - see above) But it's a fine, fine toy. Snow Cat - it's a snow vehicle. with missiles. It's even had two Transformers homages. And the UK Box showed several figures you couldn't get in the UK. Love. Very honourable mentions to the Armadillo and the WarthogWANTS Defiant - The GI Joe Spaceshuttle, booster rocket and launch complex. I saw this in a shop window once as a competition prize and lusted after it. It's HUGE. Never had a hope of owning it. Tomahawk - Oh yeah. A HUGE helicopter that you can pile figures into. Love. USS FLAGG - Another US vehicle only available as a competition prize. This one I've played with in a shop though. The Skystriker jet is big. This is an aircraft carrier for them. I'm not joking. Look at this and gawp. yes that's the Defiant at the front of the picture. Nightraven - It's a GI Joe version of the Blackbird, what's not to love? And yet again not available in the UK although frustratingly it was on UK leaflets. I saw it's chrome repaint the Sky Raven once and didn't have enough for it :-( Killer Whale - the big top vehicle in the 85 Action Force line it's absent from the 87 line up but returns in 88. Another Huge vehicle I wanted and could never have. Honourable mentions to APC, Terrordome, Maggot, Mamba, Sea Ray, BUGG, Rolling Thunder & HISS2

Never had any AF toys. (I lie! I was once given Firefly.) Like Ralph I read the comics. BUT the toys that impressed me, and which I could have gotten into, were the original pre-Cobra AF line. I got to play with this at a friends' house: What's not to love? Martin

Actually, it looks like all my vehicles were from the pre-Cobra days, so this weeks lot is all things I wish I had owned.
1) Night Raven - As Phil says, an SR-71 in the hands of Cobra is a must have. Also, sharp-lined evil black 'plane is always good. 2) Water Moccassin - Sleek, fast looking boat with lots of dakka on it. Also it can have figures put on the side of it to deliver them into battle, which is always good for play value. 3) Skystriker - Surely no-one expected me to leave this one off the list? 4) USS Flagg - I still covet the Flagg. A big chunky aircraft carrier, large enough to park about half my Macross collection on with room left to taxi... We shall never see its like again. 5) Hyena - Wonderfully odd-looking vehicle. Looks nothing like what you'd think a fighting vehicle should be, but I think the very idiosyncratic nature of it was what I liked as a kid. It made it feel like Cobra (and the Red Shadows) new stuff and had secret technology that no-one else did. Also, it featured in a cracking black-and-white comic story back in the day which really sold it to me.

Oh My Goodness I love the Robo-Skull so much!!! Never had one either, but a magnificent design.
I had a little bit of AF, and my brother had more, so this one I can do! I also managed to purchoosel one of my enteries a couple of years ago. My bro had the cardboard base/HQ playset, but I suppose that's pre-Cobra.
In no particular order:
H.I.S.S. Tank. Iconic F.A.N.G. Also iconic Moray Hydrofoil
Never owed, but so want- Cobra Terrordome!
And always wanted and managed to buy a couple of years ago- Rolling Thunder!

Week 9: Snow Toys
We interrupt vehicles month to bring you the topical snow toys week.
So top 5 toys with some connection to snow. Star Wars Hoth Toys, GI Joe artic toys, Lego snow toys.... Anything. yeah they'll be some crossover with stuff we've already done but...... Figures and vehicles accepted. I'll even accept sledges! All they need is some connection to snow or ice.

Ice Skates. Haven't been ice skating for an age. Must do sometime. Snowmen. The more oversized the better. Once made a five foot high base and the head was so heavy we had to leave him lying down. Any old sledge. Tigatron he lives in snow. Tonton
