Although I don't particulary like to brag about it its my birthday today. I've hit the big 30 and so I decided to only work half a day today. Before I know it I'll walking around with a zimmer frame.

Happy Birthday Zudobug! Don't worry, 30 ain't so bad. In fact I found it pretty amenable when I past it a few years back. Hope you had a good 30th. And whilst I am here - my thanks also to Gavin for hosting us for New Year. An excellent time was had with the playing of TF Risk, Lego Star Wars and the watching of films (both good and.. not so good). Karl

Hope everyone gets over their illnesses, aches and pains. And hope everything ok in folkes' lives.
New Year's Eve was a mad mad shift. Just drunks and assults all night. The number of assults was amazing! And it's not as though I work in a city! What's wrong with people?!
I'm starting a run of two days and two nights. Suppose to snow today. My normal base station is 30-40 mins drive from my home, so worried 'bout get trapped! Eeek!
Little Pinky Piglet Sausage Legs, to give her her full title, is being extra cute at the mo. She walks around saying either; "Yamby yamby duck duck", which Mrs Shockprowl taught her, or "happy happy dog" which apparently no one has taught her! Cute, but crazy! Just like her Daddy!

Hahaha, kids are weirdo's. My 8 year old little brother used to walk around singing "Let's ask...legal eagle" over and over again. It got to the point where i was going to include it in one of my songs.
I had the family and whatnot over to mine for new year and was left with a suitably messy home the following morning. Fortunately, the Missus got up an hour before me and tidied up the worst of it, leaving me with diabolical dishes.
A good time.

If I ever have children, I will teach them to talk in Star Dub language, thus amusing me and confusing everyone else in hilarious ways. If the first words out of my kids are not "I'll get youuuuuuuuuuu! I'll show youuuuuuuuuuuuuu! Just see what I can dooooooooooooo!" or "I'll send you straight to Hell!" (in a rough voice), then I will have failed as a parent.

A belated Happy Birthday Zudobug! I appear to almost be totally over my seasonal lurgy - it's taken a hell of a time to shift.
Today - snow in Dunfermline which is quite nice, has cemented my plans to stay in and do some afternoon reading before tidying up the house this evening.

As is normal in my life a bad thing also follows a good thing. Yesterday I celebrated my birthday while today I come home from work to be told by my dad that our pet dog had to be put down. This came as a shock to me but I wasn't really surprised as she was 16 years old and that is a remarkably good age for a dog to live till.

Sorry to hear that. It's always sad when a family pet passes away.

Sorry Zudo. Know how you feel. Our family German Shepherd dog died, oh, 10 years ago now, she lived to 16. Lovely animal.

Sorry to hear that Zudo. It's a terrible thing when you have to make those sort of arrangements for family pets.

My condolnenses Zudobug. At least any suffering your dog may have been going through has ended. 16 is a good age for a dog to live up to.
If I may ask, what kind of dog was she?

My condolences on the loss of your dog as well Zudobug. But there is perhaps some comfort in knowing that she was obviously a part of a very loving and caring home given that she reached the quite impressive age of 16.

Not good. Always a bad time when you loose a pet.
2 hours sleep during last night. Couldn't get off due to pain and then Jonathan woke me at 2 and he was awake crying on and off from then on. Teeth we think.
3 hours this morning and another 1 this pm. Not enough. So am I in bed early tonight ? Nope, i'm up surfing and buying back issues I can't afford

Just had a hoax call, miles outa our way, stopping us going to another (proper) job. Responded on red (don't know why it's called "on red" when the lights are blue), putting ourselves at risk and other road users at potential risk. Nature of the hoax ment the police where there also. What a maddening waste.

A very happy birthday to Mark and to Mewshkin (belatedly). Hope you have both had good ones.
I've had a decent day all told today - failed to track down a copy of Dan Dare#2 but this evening has made up for it. Made myself a nice carrot cake, which is currently cooling in the kitchen, then sat down with my dinner and a glass of wine to rewatch the first two episodes of "Yukkikaze". An excellent way to end a week.

Didn't the Time Wars happen at the start of In other news, Death's Head finally located Cyclonus and Scourge a few days ago. They were hiding on Junk, apparently.
