Yes, the students who are so evil they come and fill university coffers and then.. leave. How dare they?!
I guess it is 'news' because they want to be seen to be coming down hard.

I see the pound is crashing again. One might think a 20% drop in value against the dollar might be a cause for alarm from Our Leaders and The Opposition. A sign of Bad Shit and Something Must be Done (perhaps even a National Economic Emergency) but...silence all round.

I can't believe how politicians are saying hard brexit but the land border in Northern Ireland won't be impacted. So no more freedom of movement or membership of the customs union - but we aren't going to have any checks on our only land border. Its utter lies, you cannot take both positions. Absurd.

It's complete madness. There is also no way that a land border in Ireland can possibly end any other way than badly.

He/Labour are screwed over Europe whichever way they lean.
But on this he should step aside and allow his mps to vote as they or their constituants feel is right.
Preferably while trying to hold the government to account during the process.

Today will hencefore be known as National Idiocy Day. I'm staying off the BBC today so their biased coverage doesn't make me want to stick a fork in my eye.

This is true, though I'll never forgive them for their heavy promotion of UKIP and legitimising their hate fuelled messages WHEN THEY HAD NO MP'S.

Indeed. There is something quite farcical about seeing UKIP treated as a meaningful political party when it only takes one defection to remove their entire parliamentary representation.
I look forward to Plaid Cymru or something being invited on to Question Time twice a month in future...

On the other hand (and I say this as someone who would dearly love to never have to read or listen to another ukipper ever again) UKIP got about the same number of votes as the SNP and Lib Dems combined in 2015. Three times as many votes as the greens and a third of the Tories votes.
They do sadly represent a large part of the population. If you want to argue that they have grown in to that position because that is how they have been represented by the media, then you probably have a point.
Either way right now the BBC probably are representing them fairly.

I see the General Election has already devolved into racism and branding people as traitors, etc. I can't be fucked with this again. We had all this shite last year!

I am finding the election coverage deeply depressing. When the US President claimed (without proof) that his predecessor had wiretapped him, the media and many politicians dog piled on him.
When the UK Prime Minister claimed 'the EU' was interfering with the UK General Election (without proof and making very serious allegations which if true would be astounding)...the media just reports it as fact and politicians say fuck all. It's out of the news in one cycle.
Welcome to the one-party state.
