I've not reviewed it yet but Buzzsaw isn't the greatest Legends toy. However I so want them to look right!

Red for yellow would be right, but looking at those two colour schemes I think they're going for the biggest contrast possible to make them look different.

Unfortunately it make Laserbeak look all black, especially in tape/ipad mode which will then mean he looks like Ravage!

Now I've got CW Trailbreaker in hand it becomes obvious that Pipes should have got the remould to his arms that Trailbreaker got to one of his. That, with a new head, would have made a world of difference!

Eh. I just kinda think Pipes/Huffer are plain wrong, and no amount of fixing could save it.
This mold would have been a far more appropriate base.

I agree, that mold just is not right for Huffer/Pipes. Big disappointment for me, that one. I'd have liked a Huffer in that size. I need a Rager.

Agreed. Just about pulls it off in bike mode, but the robot is lacking... rather like the Deluxes in this wave. Looks like the paint budget ran out on Combiner Wars a while ago.

Far too long, yes, but the right pipe aesthetic. |

It's interesting but of the deluxes I think Wheeljack is the only one that REALLY needs a bit more paint. Wreck Gar's problems are deeper than that, he needed to be a different colour plastic to start with! |

Yeah, he is a bit day-glo, isn't he? Still, I never bothered picking up a Groove 'cos I was waiting for Wreck-Guy, so I'll still nab him. Because it's Groove BUT WITH A BEARD. And beards make everything better.
And who knows, maybe Reprolabels'll do something that'll make him good.

If we're honest I don't think Combiner Wars has been particularly good for the Legends size.
I don't think the loss of the Minicons has helped.
Only Blackjack got a weapon, and that doesn't attach properly in robot mode for his Rodimus version which seems to be most of the reason it was included in the first place. The QC on Powerglide is variable, troopbuilder Viper was underpacked, None of the chest armour bots really attach properly, they scrimped on Huffer, Pipes and and Chopshop, all of which needed new moulding. Buzzsaw's stickers are peeling out the packet and has some very loose joints. What are we left with? Windcharger which is good, Bombshell who was OK, but needed a longer antenae with another joint on it, and still isn't a patch on Skrapnel, Warpath who's a cheap repaint that works better than he ought to, the jet's which are exactly what we were suspecting and Shockwave who's great.

OK..... Rewind is remoulded in Rumble Buzzsaw is recoloured into Laserbeak Stripes is recoloured, with a new beast head, into Ravage Rewind will in all likelihood be recoloured into Eject Rumble will in all likelihood be recoloured into Frenzy Single tapes not yet seen or hinted at: Ratbat, Ramhorn, Steeljaw, Slugfest & Overkill Laserbeak could be recoloured into Garboil and Sunder. Since Sunder was done in FoC it means he could be an option here. Stripes could be recoloured into Howlback and Glit Rumble could be repainted into Enemy Rewind could be repainted into Flipsides, Rosanna and Solarbot Ratbat could be repainted into Wingthing Most of the above also have Shattered Glass versions. Wheelie could be repainted into Shadow Striker |

I'm loving Rumble. I'll deffo need me him and a Frenzy. Ravage, hmmmmm, far from convinced about him. And the Laserbeak/Buzzsaw mold I still think is terrible.
