That is a fantastic exclusive. Hell, they could release it in toy shops and sell out without much bother.

Yeah, it's fantastic. Best exclusive in aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages. Fan favourite character/toy, single tape version and two of the tapes not previously re-issued in the US. Predictably, (somehow) loads of folk on-line have been moaning about it. Makes me despair. Some people hate their hobby.

Well, supposedly Ratbat is getting a Takara-Tomy reissue in Encore anyways, so there's really no point in buying all of that - especially if you already have Soundwave, Soundblaster and all their respective cassettes.

Given that it has been a while since the last US reissue of Soundwave, and that Rat-Bat hasn't had a US reissue at all I reckon it is a pretty good exclusive. It certainly fits the fact that it is an anniversary year more than a repaint of a recent Universe or Animated toy might have - in my opinion anyway. Karl

Someone suggested they should have given him a mouth and painted him purple, to be Marvel comics Soundwave
That would have been magical! :v

I am happy to see Perceptor and the Insecticons get another shot at general retail life.

Oh, they look good... I wonder if they'll make their way over here? If they're TRU exclusives I suppose there's a chance. Would be really tempted by the Insecticon set.

I hope they do. I have Perceptor, but it would be nice after 23 years to finally see the figure being sold on UK shelves! We never got it the first time.

That's some of the best box-art I've seen in ages. Never owned any of those figures before, so this is where my Christmas list starts.

I have Takara's TFC Insecticon set (with the energon cubes) AND Perceptor. Still, always happy to see more G1 stuff get reissued even if it is in a Hasbro box Pete

I'm a bit wary, since all of those are Decepticons. I thought good guys always did far better in Japan sales-wise?

I don't own the mould but it looks great in gold. $200 is rather a lot of cash, Too much for my birthday stash. Maybe I can get it for Christmas, or sell to medical science my... ass.

He's just so hard to find - at a reasonable price mind- So if this one's nice and affordable I'll buy him, cos he's adorable
