Odd choice this, indeed. But if it results in a price drop then I guess this might be more appealing to the casual collector - cheaper, and without the space requirements for the trailer.
This might also be tempting to me. I've stubbornly refused to get any of the reissue Primes - I have my original from 1984, and despite him being far from mint condition as a result of enthusiastic play as a child, he's still mine, and doesn't need replacing. But if this isn't too expensive, it might be a useful source of spare parts...

It’s absurd, but I kind of want it BECAUSE it hasn’t got a cab = variant! It’s not like I even have lots of Prime variants but still I want it. Madness.

I don't need to replace my Prime, but this one might be nice for a pristine condition one for display. If it's got the right die cast pieces and is actually correct.

I don't mind he's missing his trailer. Speaking as someone with limited space, the Op trailers I do have are only ever used to stand other toys on top of in a display, so this doesn't bother me.
