Does anyone know if there is anywhere in the UK to get the Walmart Reissues?

Wal*Mart stuff usually ends up at Asda - Wal*mart own Asda. Asda didn't get last year's, and got very little new TFs at all last year. So it doesn't look likely.

They'll be on Kapow and ID in due course though. Unless you mean the ones that have been and gone.

Local walmart may or may not still have hotrod for seven bucks, if anyone wants me to go get.
Starscream and Devastator are gone.
The Minibots still exist, though are getting thin.

Yawn. Show us something that hasn't already been reissued half a dozen times.

Bear in mind there are always new fans who weren't about the last time these moulds were out.

Someone has pointed out that Blaster and his cassettes are already being re-released this year, so he'll be reissued twice?

Where? It's Soundwave who's down to be released, with the 84 tape two packs.

I don't think that's a reissue. I think they sourced a new stock of them.
Same thing has been happening with a few others, including defunt MattyCollector stuff.

All personal biases aside, Blaster is the better choice, certainly if he comes with tapes.
The dude is huge, he's pretty iconic, and tapes!

I think this year says no tapes with Blaster as they'll want to continue the tape pricepoint
In fact I'd be almost tempted to yell FIX on those grounds alone!

It'd a missed opportunity, really. The original never came with a tape. Soundwave did.
I know Hasbro and fans tend to like to pretend tapes always come in duos, but that has historically never been true. Buzzsaw and Ratbat were never part of a pair (even though Ratbat came with frenzy). And the odd newer tape has popped up, never being part of a pair, such as Stripes, Flipsides, and "Enemy."
They could put Stripes in as the pack in with Blaster.

I know Hasbro and fans tend to like to pretend tapes always come in duos, but that has historically never been true. It is a reissue line, with original packaging as a selling point, and historically in the west the tapes were sold as two packs. 8 lots of 2 packs if I count right.

Except when they don't hold to that, such as Optimus' missing trailer plus two rifles, and bumblebee's cartoon face.
I don't think they care as much about holding to exact accuracy as you're ascribing to them.

Nostalgic isn't the same as accurate, and it's probably easier for Hasbro to go with what the public remembers.

I don't think that's helping the argument against including one single tape with Blaster as much as y'all think it does, because there is nothing nostalgic about a trailerless G1 Optimus Prime reissue.
Adding an extra accessory isn't going to negatively impact Blaster's selling potential.

But it might impact Hasbro's profit margin.

Fifty quid! On your bike. I'd rather buy an original if I'm spending that much.

Yeah, the "Hasbro keep reissuing these figures as an opportunity for new fans to buy them" thing doesn't work if they cost more than it would to buy the original or any previous reissues on ebay.

Oh,and it's got the doofy missiles. How come the platinum Coneheads got away with the smaller missiles, but this doesn't?
None of them launch anymore, do they?
