Judging by the screenshots there Bombshell's colouration does seem to vary a bit the normal one you'd expect and this one, which appears more than once. You just watch, they'll do the other version in a ear or two packed with a different tape! |

I should have picked up Retro Kickback and Shrapnel when they were cheap! Maybe the other side of the next payday if they are still about.
I will need them as I will need Retro Bombshell as it comes with a tape.

The image you linked, it looks like he's just got grey swamp mud over the purple, but I see there are various other stills online with grey. |

It seems Bombshell is consistently gray in robot mode, while sometimes correctly colored in beast mode.
Phil chose a bad screenshot because that was the only one that showed him from the front.
The purple in it seems to be an artifact of degradation of film, rather than anything as sophisticated as "the animators covered him in mud"
If their focus is on cartoon accuracy deco, the odds of getting a correctly toy colored one are nil.

Extra toys hasn't got anything at the moment, and won't have till the new year.
