Really? That's disappointing. I'll have a peruse next time I'm in FP.
In other news, I have to admit I'm terribly tempted to replace the individual handbooks with the updated HC series. And the Essential Master Editions call to me. I hope these urges leave me soon.

Really? That's disappointing. I'll have a peruse next time I'm in FP. -Ralph It does appear to be pretty much "Official Handbook of the Iron Man Universe". Not bad per-se, but a missed opportunity to do the definite guide to powered armour in the Marvel universe. Has the usual entires on friends (Rhodey, Pepper), foes (Justin hammer , Mandarin) and tangentially related folk (lots of S.H.I.E.L.D stuff, The Order) Karl

You don't need the Master Editions. Trust me. It was a close call last night, but I was too hammered to get on the internet and thus the Amazon website. I ate some chicken and watched Doctor Who instead. -Ralph

I'm passing on the Iron Manual, having now had a look at a copy. Rather disappointed it is not really as advertised, ie a guide to the tech.

I've tried having a look on Marvel's website for the comic or info on it but no joy.
Fucking horrible website.

The profile for U.S. Archer may be the greatest thing I have ever read all day. Magnificent nonsense!
Really fun book. Definitely will be picking up the rest in due course.

Almost finished vol 1. It's more than a straight reprint of preceeding handbooks. A great deal of the material has been rewritten and expanded on and it also just reads better in the HC format. And I could never keep up with all the handbooks at the rate they came out at, so it's easier to make sure I read all the entries this way! You will lose your resistance, Phil. I forsee it...

Finally with me. Lots of short snappy (3 to a page) hand book entries on Osborn's allies and potential allies compiled for him by Quasimodo. Lots of text, a winner.

Wolverine: Weapon X Files showed up today in a cash in to the film way. Usual stuff.... ... but I must pass comment on the Wolverine entry. Danial Way has widdled all over Wolverine's continuity by the look of this revised entry. He may have been trying to add some coherancy but the X-Men already have two long lived manipulative vilains that would seem to fit the role Romulus plays. And what's the point of making Logan & James *Hudson* cousins ? (yes you read that right - Wolverine is Guardian's cousin)
