Courtesy of James.
The Spitting Image Giant Komic Book contains a five page TF parody illustrated by Lee Sullivan and lettered by Richard Starkings.
There is also work in there from John Higgins and the sadly departed Steve Dillon and Brett Ewins.
Can be snapped up for a few quid on Ebay.

Haven't had a real back issue hunt for a long while We just started Power Pack again from the beginning after reaching the end of Classic volume 3 (might have to hit up eBay for the remaining floppies of Louise Simonson's run). -Jim Power Pack Classic v3 prints up to 26. 27 is in The Mutant Massacre 35 is in Fall of the Mutants v2 40 and 42-3 are Inferno v1 44 is in Inferno v2 Obviously I've read those and, I think, a few others (looking at marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Power_Pack_Vol_1 I've definitely got 36 in London) but memory says it goes really off the boil post 25. I may have to floppy hunt the rest of the issues myself now. Now That's a fair few issues and I can't see that many bundles on eBay. But when I went to update my West Coast Avengers trade list today with the forthcoming Avengers Epic Collection 22 I spotted that I'm just 10 issues of owning the entire run, 76 - 79 & 83 - 88. That itch may need scratching. TQITQ.

I really got into Power Pack reading it in Thundercats, so started on the US issues too. I think I've got all bar the last five issues as floppies and have thought many times about trying to find the last five (that's 57-61 if I recall) to finish the set.

Had the long boxes out from under Liz's bed this afternoon. I was a bit bored and very in pain and needed to do something to distract me.
The Avengers and ASM Pamini ones swapped round: the Avengers box was falling apart so thought it was better used for something that wouldn't need to moved so often now. There then followed one of those "need to make some space" operations which has given both the Panini X-Men and Avengers boxes a bit of breathing space by decanting the odd issues of other titles in the back of them to other boxes. The few remaining US Cap and Iron Man floppies are now in the US Avengers box which feels good and I found one issue that could have been removed a while back due to being traded. Sadly just one :-(
But the total result is a good one.

So rare these days to find people who go out of their way just be nice to someone else (apart from here of course, which is one of the great things about the Hub). Having checked, I needed Power Pack 57-62 to finish the run and made a few idle ebay searches. Discovered a seller with three of those issues going for a couple of quid each with free postage. As each auction finished I told him to keep them to reduce his cost to send them, I was in no rush, and asked if he had the other three I needed by any chance. When he eventually sent the three I'd won, he included the other three for free with a note to say he was pleased to help me finish the set. Positive feedback doesn't do that kind of thing justice.
So, thirty odd years after starting buying up Power Pack to read the stories Thundercats didn't print, I can finish the run off!

Had the long boxes out tonight.
Turns out I'd not kept up with the New Mutants trade and was able to purge 20+ issues!

Ladronn Cable run floppies can go too: trades due shortly. Big chunk of one box freed! Boxes out for a re-arrange this morning. Into the gap in the older Mutants/Annual box has gone Marvel Team Up, Two In One, Thing and various other old Marvel. Into the gap they left has gone older MWOM and Marvel Legends from the Panini Avengers box which was rather full. This now has plenty of expansion space as I'm currently buying 3 titles a month for this box whereas just X-Men is going in the Panini Mutants box. So, from left to right under the bed: 1) Mantlo box: Alpha Flight, Rom, Micronauts, Hulk 2) Marvel US Avengers box 3) Mutants/Annual/Misc box 4) Old Panini X-Men/Wolverine 5) Current Panini X-Men/Wolverine 6) Panini Avengers/ current MWOM/Legends 7) Panini ASM 8) Old Panini MWOM/Legends/Civil War/FF/Hulk, Eagle Judge Dredd, Ex Machina

I went back to the Avengers box this morning to see if my US Avengers run and my Panini run meshed exactly.
They didn't because I discovered my Dark Avengers run was missing some issues. I've now bough the Panini versions.

I didn't mind it myself.
More for the art though and some nice character touches rather than any great story.

I've now bough the Panini versions. Oh FFS. 1) The Dark Avengers issues I was missing weren't in the issues I bought! 2) The issues I was missing were reprinted in another CE because they were part of a crossover!! 3) I have that crossover as a trade!!! 4) I may have the originals of those issues in the loft!!!!

Won an auction for a job lot of Avengers Unconquered 1-7 this morning.
OK Technically I didn't need them since I have the main story in a trade and the recent reprints (and had bought it in the long since sold original floppies) but.....
13 issues to go and I have a complete run.

V2, 8-20. Then I don't have any of volume 1 (100 issues - 113 total)
For Essential X-Men I don't have v1 112-186 (75 issues) and v2 1-17 & 26* (18 issues - 93 total)
*18 is the point I started buying again having bailed on the US run. I skipped 23-26, Second Coming, because I had the trade, but have recently bought 23-25

My Essential buying is even more odd: I bought the first 30 or so issues of v1, pleased it was getting a UK printing, and then bailed at c35 cos I realised I was buying US stuff I already had. I then bailed on the US runs c Uncanny 380 as I was really unhappy with certain editorial decisions. Considering I'd bought solidly since 210, and back issued to 120, this was a big thing. I started buying US stuff again at US New X-Men 114, the Morrison issues. I started buying Essential again at issue 90, which reprinted some stuff I wanted, and filled back courtesy of Nick I think! Bailed AGAIN on Essential at 111 when it caught up with my US buying and wasn't reprinting Uncanny. Started buying Essential again with v2, 18, following my decision to stop buying US singles which were costing too much. Bar the second coming issues I have everything since. Started buying Avengers when that got level with the point I stopped getting US titles - see page one of this thread and tmukhub.proboards.com/post/59845/thread for the Friday comics massacre

If I've read your posts right, Phil, you aren't after the lot with issues 1-100 in are you? I'd say I'd chip in for any issues you buy that you already have and I need, but I'm only missing the first 75 and I don't think you need that lot.

No, I need the 101 and up lot, and not quite all of them.
Do you want me to bid on the 1-100 lot for you and hold them till you can collect them?
