No, I need the 101 and up lot, and not quite all of them. Do you want me to bid on the 1-100 lot for you and hold them till you can collect them? hmmm. Hmmm. It would be nice to have a full run. I'll ponder that. Unless you think a direct offer for the lot might encourage the seller to end the auction.

Some fine finds in Oxfam. Full run of DC's Wednesday Comics and a few issues of Marvel UK's Strip.

if you end up buying them pin id take the 25 you didn't need (75-100) if its the same seller id also be interested in the other lot they have, the 1-37 lot? although I would be relying on Phil to collect them

I think the 1-37 set is one of the two Phil is after. You'd certainly be welcome to the ones I don't need from the first set though.

Seller keeps ending these X-Men comics early but hasn't relisted them this time. Checking their completed listings shows this has happened about three times. Might be worth an email to ask if they actually want to sell them.

They keep lowering the price. That 1-100 bundle has come down from £50 to £25 over three auctions, all ended early.

Yesterday's comic mart had slim pickings.
Grabbed the 10 issue run of Death's Head and the 6 issue Hardcore Station mini-serioes by Cosmic Jim. Small press wise - I grabbed Laudanum and Tales of Horrere Issues 1 and 2 - great books all.

The mart as a whole was sadly slim pickings compared to recent efforts.
Glad to have gotten the DH run though.

This is slightly back issue related feature - www.newsarama.com/37485-the-longest-running-comics-that-have-never-been-renumbered.htmltop 10 comics which have never been renumbered. But have. "but there are comic books out there with real 'legacy' numbering that has never been relaunched, renumbered," Amazing Spider-man has been the following #1-441 renumbered for v2 #1-58 then back to old numbering #500-700 New #1-33 & title change #1-18 back to old title #1-5 2015 series #1-32 #789 onwards. So that a completed title change & 5 #1 relaunch issues in a series that has never been renumbered or relaunched.

Why did they have it on the page? If it isn't on the list. Has ACtion comics been renumbered?
|
|

Post by Philip Ayres on Nov 29, 2017 7:57:25 GMT
Because the whole article has arisen due to the Marvel renumbering to legacy numbers and ASM has the highest Marvel number thanks to being several times a month under Slott.

Think having GI Joe ARAH on that list is stretching things, given the massive gap in years between issues and publishers.

We ended up having a conversation about Annuals in the X-Men thread tmukhub.proboards.com/post/304117/threadIs that the year with the really Pish X-Men annual? There were many pish X-Men annuals. That doesn't narrow it down. -Ralph To be fair most Marvel US annuals are not great. Andy Which Marvel US annuals do you remember? And were any any good?
