Fishy Megatron I must have it, but what the hell was going on at Hasbro when they came up with it.

He's just a grey Megatron so the tank looks more like G1 Megatron! And I guess they said because he's a tank, he needs some camoflage! Reading your post, I got SO EXCITED thinking there was a Megatron who turned into a fish that I had missed. I was gutted by the lack of fish-Megatron

What, huh?!!! Nonono. Beast Hunters FishytronOH! Well, okay, that is a fish. Reading the thread it looked like you were talking about that grey legends Megatron, which is why I was getting confused (and a bit concerned)

Ah good agreement, I was worried that people were looking at that and not seeing a fish.
I was just thinking people would have checked the earlier link and realised which Megatron I was referring too.

I suddenly find myself strangely addicted to Beast Hunters… but the closer I look at the figures, the less impressed I am. Smokescreen is awesome, and I snagged him right away, but he seems to have been designed earlier. The Wheeljack, Bee and Bulk trio are sort of attractive as Wreckers… or Neo Wreckers, but I fear the spiles will depress me, and Bee looks like Bigbird… Predakind is a thousans steps down in dragon mode from tm2 Megatron, particularly with his tail not moving. Prime is ok conceptually, but doesn't seem to really come together in truck mode. Abominus is ugly in combined mode, but that's forgivable given his name and his outstanding beast/robot individual modes which are perfect G1 representations…
So I'm on the fence about these… I dunno… aesthetically, Voyager Bulkhead was better… sort of...
Any opinions?

I've only got three so far.
Ripclaw- and while she's ultra simple, she's pretty awesome. Great sculpt, and her simplistic transformation feels like beast era: Simple, but solid and effective. And once you have her she looks feminine, without being stereotypical in design.
I forget his name, but the wave one deluxe predacon gargoyledog, and find him to be increadibly inept, and just a poor excuse for a toy. To transform all he does is stand up and fold the dragon head into his chest... in a way that makes TMII Cheetor seem like a marvel of design.
Shockwave- One of the biggest letdowns. I make no secret for my distaste for the Prime style... but Shockwave is one of the few designs I liked. He had an interesting robot and a cool vehicle. His plastic quality is the worst I've encountered so far, and the "rubber" used for his treads/hose was already stressed and nearly broken in the package. And it feels like the kind that in just a couple years will be hard and brittle. I dare not use it. Handling him, compaired to Gen Scourge for example, I feel like he'll break easily. His transformation is a mess, and his alt mode pretty much does not exist at all. It looks like a really painfully contorted robot. The Beast Armor seems inteded as an after thought to help distract from this. He's basically an actionmaster of fairly poor quality.
I also hate his action gimmick, but I've left that out of commentary because it's a personal preference. I just hate spinny gimmicks that make no sense. Would have preferred his cannon arm to be better articulated, and perhaps a little more transformation involved in it. But I admit that part is pure personal preference.

Yeah… thanks for dousing my enthusiasm... I guess these guys just have some potential, but there are indeed many downsides

Agggh! That's the second new Blight redeco this weekend! Don't like the solid coloured weapons, if you're going to colour them make them clear! Really not sure about the 2014 BH Deluxe. Upsized Legions for simpler TF fair enough but there's no extra articulation here. And the Terrorcons seem to have lost their combining pegs!
