Browning (or at least one of the European non transformer releases) was my first experience of non Hasbro Transforemrs. Paid about £15 for an incomplete via TMUK in the mid 90s. Came with a gun and a pair of fists. It predates my purchase of an original Megatron by a few years and truthfully left me feeling disappointed by Megatron. I suppose size meant Megatron had to be the mould they chose, but Browning is so much better.
I would love for Takara to one day release both the microchange guns again.

I have a very clear memory of Paul Wright waving the magnum one around in the Moon Under Water years ago

KO Browning on the way!Looking forward to this one, wanted a Browning for a while, but didn't want to pay out big money on a vintage one.

Anyone interested in the KO G1 Browning? Cobra Zartan mentions in the thread on tfw2005 that he has the connection with the guy making them and retailers can contact if him if they're interested in a bulk buy. Dunno about the legalities of a UK retailer selling realistic toy guns, but if there's a few UK folk interested in it then maybe we'd be able to do a group buy, save importing from the US.

I was fortunate enough to find both versions of Browning on Yahoo Japan and eBay (the last time a KO of the red one came out) so I'll have to say no thanks, even though I love the mould.

According to fxtop's historical exchange rates - 1GBB was about 300JPY in 1984 (was this the main year for a lot of these diaclone toys or are they earlier as the pound dropped in value a lot in the early 80s).
3,800 JPY for Powered Convoy would have been around £12. How much was Ultra Magnus when he was released in 1986?

I like the variety of background music in the third. One of them sounds like it could be from an old British newsreel, then the next a 70s cop show.
Also, Jumpstarter bowling! Pull one back and get it to transform and stand as close to a target as possible, and the next player can even knock it away with theirs! If it's even remotely practical it should be made a Thing at AA.

Depends which Diaclone toys I think. My recollection is that it began prior ro 84 and was winding down around the time Transformers was getting of the ground. At least, that is my recollection anyway. Karl

Interesting. I had no idea there could have been a fifth delixe insecticon mould. I also like the packaging for Star Force Whirl.

If Takotoku had pulled through for another few months, we could have had our first female TF figure in 1985. Pretty crazy.
And she would have been a shellformer.

I can't help with finding the other card-back I'm afraid, but if anyone else can I would be curious to see it. The only one I saw was the one in the picture (courtesy of my Joustra-Diaclone Gears as well).

The clearest pictures of the female Insecticon (referred to as 'DotCom' in some circles) I've seen to date. I only ever had a grainy photocopy. Shame this toy wasn't produced.
