As the comic is out soon I have unlocked the thread. Please keep comments to the topic of the issue itself. If you want to talk about the writer's opinions re: female Transformers or even your own there is already a thread for that. Thanks in advance, all.

Well it's very pretty art, but the preview really does make it look like the whole thing is going to be 'we explain this continuity snafu which allows this story to be told' much like the industrial complex of fan-works that exist solely to explain stuff no-one ever wanted explanations for. Honestly I'd prefer if they just got on with telling a story that wants to be told not that people feel 'should' be told to clear up the continuity.
That's just me though. But yeah, pretty art.

I've read issue one. OK, but nothing special/dreadful.

Is it better than Beast Hunters series? A review says it is a bit better. Maybe less characters is better - 5 characters must have been too many.

I think it would be better if windblade was dealing with thundercracker than starscream because then we wouldn't really know what was happening before the issues come out. Starscream does stick to character but thundercracker IDW is slightly different.

I rather enjoyed issue 1, especially the art. I think it sets up the series quite well, and appreciated the world-building elements like CityTalkers and lost, isolated races of Transformers and their Titans. I hope it finds an audience and continues as the Cybertron-based ongoing, it's certainly on a par with pre-Dark Cybertron RID, if not better.

I was determined not to like this series due to all the palaver beforehand, but I have to say I've been won over. Windblade's a well-rounded, likable character, and certainly makes a refreshing change from the dysfunction over at the Lost Light. I'm more interested in the character than the plot, though, so not sure if an ongoing would work.

I just read #1,2 last night. reading #1 page 1 & 2 - feels like 5 pages missing between page 1 & 2 then in #2 we suddenly have the characters in another location then its the next day.

So Caminus is a world where they all don't have long range weapons just sword & are all female TF - like Chormia who has long range guns. But this is scott writing who can't stick with the TFP Cybertron set up that no life on the planet when writing the comics.

I'm actually enjoying Windblade. It's not setting my world on fire, but it's fun enough. I have no idea why it's called 'Windblade' through, apart from Hasbro's desire to shove this 'fan-created' (hilarious lie) character down our throats. Really, it seems to be Cybertron done right.

I SPOKE TOO SOON. IT WAS ALL JUST AN EXTENDED THROWAWAY PRELUDE TO A SERIES STARTING NEXT YEAR TRICKED AGAIN
