This is actually pretty good news. Their existing facility has been giving them fairly significant problems for a year or so now, so getting a better facility can only be a good thing.
Mind you, I suspect that they are being their usual over-optimistic selves when they say they will be back to normal by November 19th. I would expect it to take them a week or so longer to get their feet fully under them. Very good firm, just with a habit of always looking on the bright side of any situation.

HLJ has been slashing prices on lots of things, mainly recent issues. Overordering or reduced demand based on the financial circumstances ? Either way i hope they aren't in trouble.

I did take advantage of some of their Henkei! Henkei! items on sale.
I am sure they're doing okay... their Japanese-language site seems to be doing well.

Has anyone bought anything from Japan lately? A parcel that was dispatched SAL from HLJ on 1st December hasn't arrived yet. Taking into account the snow and Christmas post, I was wondering when I should start to worry?

The HLJ website says to wait double the estimated maximum shipping time before contacting them if a parcel hasn't arrived. For SAL, that's 7-45 days. I don't think I'll be waiting another two months to email them.

Ah they're telling me now that the items I was trying to add had a limit of 1 per person

I got an email overnight telling me my Vehicon and Breakdown were now in my "private warehouse". Oh for a private warehouse!

Several times. He keeps coming back for more and finding things in there he didn't see last time. I think he's sending the Kaptain down this weekend with a list of things to half inch.

Don't blame him!
Also the new HLJ system is probably good.

Steal is such an ugly word.... "creative requisitioning" is the preferred term in the quartermastering trade..... Karl

I'm seriously considering ditching using HLJ altogether, I missed the recent masterpiece starscream as they botched my order, didn't get AM-12 in time (and they don't have an AM-24 pre-order and they don't notify when or if it goes up, so its pure luck ordering something), they also didn't get the kabaya Fort Max in, they don't respond to my emails and all I got as compensation for the Starscream debacle was a 10% discount on one order that can't be redeemed on earlybird items and hasn't worked when I tried it.
A pox on them I say! Will keep my masterpiece orders and be wary in future.
Ordered AM-12 on ebay.

Only thing i use them for now is when TF Generations are up for order. Other than that, long since abandoned them to ebay or other means.

I refer you to my recent problems with the AMW Micron series. And Generations 2012 v2 (I think)
Not what they once were in many ways although if you can get a pre order in still the cheapest way of getting Japanese stuff to the UK.

They may very well be too popular these days, despite barely making an effort to promote their Transformers stuff (I suspect various forums spread the word quick enough for them to sell out fast). They are the cheapest option in so many occasions, but man they just don't seem to be as good as they used to be.

I very rarely use them now as I got very fed up with pre-ordering items from them on early bird offers then watched the item go to 'sold out' on release and not actually getting the thing!

I think that they are somewhat over-exposed, because these problems aren't just affecting their Transformers stuff, it seems to impact on quite a few different product lines. I think the issue is that even with the new warehouse facility their actual ability to obtain and carry enough stock to meet demand is a bit stretched.
Not actually used them much recently mind you - and I rarely ever preordered from them. Was tempted by something recently but it was on Order Stop so I will just keep my eye on it and if they do get in excess stock I shall try and swoop then.
