Warpath and Seaspray, in that order. And they have to be proper, big Masterpiece size, not this naff little car size we have now.

Ratchet/Ironhide. It's not hard, even with the repair bay thing, but Hasbro keep making a pigs of it I know! Why can't they just do a decent mold for these A-list characters?! Actually, Tow-line wasn't far off at all. Buuuuut they decided to make them Botcon figures, thus unobtainable by normal people. %@!#%.

Wheezel. Would Spanner turn into the Space Bridge? EDIT: Reflector is an early Decepticon(s) that hasn't had much attention over the years. Might be fun to do him/them in the midst of the procession of Autobot cars. -Nick

A vehicle accurate coloured Snapdragon would be fabulous! Abso-snapping-lutely! Snapdragon was my one and only Headmaster, and was a stonking huge powerful toy/character, so has a special place in my heart! An MP version is unlikely though.

Awesome... the ultimate wish list. But only five?
Ultra Magnus (en route?) Shockwave Bruticus (he he!) Overlord Swerve
Although I'd really like to see them rise to the challenge of a proper Pretender with an inner robot that 'pilots' a well articulated shell. I'd also like a Headmaster, preferably Chromedome or Brainstorm.
I will be thinking about this for days, damn you!

Why 5?.... I don't know.

This is almost too hard. Can we do two lists? a 'within reasonable expectation' list and a 'no chance whatsoever but wouldn't it be cool' list?

1- BW "Ultra" Megatron 2- "Ultra" Optimus Primal 3- Dinobot 4- Cheetor 5- Transmetal Rattrap
In that order. Waspinator didn't make the list because I feel generations Wasp and Rhinox are masterpieces in their own right. It'd be really hard to improve on them. And IMO from what Ive seen of Prowl and his lot, and first hand experience with rodimus, and sideswipe, they dont really improve on anything. I still honestly don't see the point of MP as a series. They don't do anything that the various classics lines don't do better, except be too big and be too expensive.

Aww, really? I'd say the MPs are immeasurably superior to the classics from the last decade. These things are perfect.

Yes I'm with Pinwig. MPs are superior. MP Prowl vs Classics Prowl.... No contest. But each to their own, of course!

Aww, really? I'd say the MPs are immeasurably superior to the classics from the last decade. These things are perfect. Besides "look just like a very bad 30 year old cartoon," what do they do? What does that odd looking MP Bumblebee do that Classics doesn't? What would Jazz do that RTS Jazz doesn't? That thing is already about as good as a toy can get. MP Hotrod is terrible, and oversized even for it's own toyline. Doesn't hold together well in any mode, and has a horrible alt mode that doesn't look anything like him. Seriously, I'd rather have the actual G1 figure. At least it gets ground clearance. Sideswipe is a terrible representation of both sideswipe and the car. Blocky, inelegant, and lacking in any contours or details. It's just ugly. The original (i have in the form of G2) is a beautifully sculpted toy. Grimlock got given a serving tray and an apron. And I've made it clear the only worse dino mode in all of the franchise belongs to FoC Grimmy. Megatron was completely laughable with it's clown sized altmode. Other than because they blew out the original MP Optimus, I don't understand what the point behind the second one is. But I'll admit they did fix the two major flaws in the original: shrink it down to a better size, and get rid of the awful diecast. As the occasional special one off, MP is a great idea. As a full line, i dont see the point at all. It'll take something remarkable to get me to buy one. And on a side note, I *really* don't comprehend the idea of taking the gorgeous and perfect MP Starscream mold and butchering it into that hideous monstrosity they put out now.

I love the Sideswipe mold, and I'm not alone in thinking it's fabulous. Both modes are closer the original than the Universe version and, with the exception of the doors hanging off the arm, think it's near perfect.
Grimlcok's Dino form is fabulous, a perfect representation of what we remember as children.
The 3 Datsuns are all closer their original forms that the too thin Universe robots were. As for the horribly painted Universe Smokescreen.....
Hotrod is half the toy: blame Hasbro's odd decision making for that one leaving out the Rodimus trailer
The recent version of Optimus also looks superb, if overpriced.
MP is delivering faithful vehicle modes with upgraded well articulated robots.

I actually prefered Alternators - less prospect of chipping and damage to paint jobs over repeated transformations.
Hmm. I've only got a few Masterpiece line items, and I think it has suffered from not really knowing whether it was a collectors display line, or a high-end toy line. The original MP Starscream is a fine example of the former, and MP Grimlock being a fine example of the latter.
That said, what would I like in an ideal world:-
Jhiaxus - based on the Generation Two, straight-winged, non-terrestrial aerospace fighter. Bonus points for giving us a load of ordnance to hang under his wings so that he can make with the purging of unclean organics from Primus' divine plan
Shockwave - They've given us every Decepticon leader from the original comic except ol'one-eye. It would be nice to see the Command Group completed
Broadcast - I can live without a Blaster, because Broadcast has vastly better colours in my opinion. But New Soundwave needs someone to clean his clock ever so often and remind him of how these things work.
Impactor - He got easily the weakest of the recent Wreckers toys, he could do with an upgrade. Besides, he's from SOF - if he wants onto this list I am not going to argue with him.
Generation 2 style Tank Megatron , but with a different choice of tank for his alt-mode. Leopard or Challenger would keep much of the existing look but allow you to go slightly different on the execution. Or alternatively something like the Merkava to get a bit of a different shape in there. Yes, I rather liked PCC Heavy Tread - again, bigger and better would be nice.

I have been thinking about this a bit today and I have found I don't really have a list of toys I want. I want some more than others but I don't have that burning urge for anything and I have decided thats a good thing. If I set my heart on a MP Sludge or Hound I'd meet every new MP announcement with slight disappointment. The next few that I expect after Wheeljack, Bumblebee, Ultra Magnus, Star Saber and Ratbat would be: -Megatron/Galvatron/Shockwave - It seems like one of these has to be on the list but Megatron surely wouldn't be done as a gun again, but they are cartoon obsessed (except whoever got G2 Sideswipe green lit). Quakewave might affect the chances of Shockwave and Galvatron would almost feel like its jumping the gun. -Jazz -Ratchet/Ironhide With Acid Wing and now Sunstorm I'm not completely abandoning hope of Actionmaster Thundercracker. EDIT: Reflector is an early Decepticon(s) that hasn't had much attention over the years. Might be fun to do him/them in the midst of the procession of Autobot cars -Nick Reflector! Like it! 3 all the same? Or more toy accurate? I think I made this suggestion somewhere else, some talk of mega class toys I think, but MP Reflector should be on similar size to the exosuit with Bumblebee and packaged alongside 3 other MP Decepticons. I'm thinking with the 3 insecticons made to about the same size as Bumblebee. The combined camera mode would probably be a bit large but probably holdable by Soundwave in some way or another. As crazy as a real MP combiner is, the lack of season 1 and 2 Decepticons makes me think it isn't completely crazy. At the rate they are going a full combiner could be released oe component every few months. The question is which one. The Stunticons are possibly the most straight forward as all four cars could be made largely from the same reshelled mould. But a Motormaster might be tricky, it would have to be scaled down in comparison to MP10. Bruticus has all kinds of scale issues, but I suppose Brawl and Vortex could be smallish type vehicles and Blastoff some kind of Drone thing. It would also require all unique moulds which is bad, but would offer the most repaint potential. Construction vehicles come in all sizes so scale is workable, but would need 6 whole new moulds.
