Ooh. Quick, when's payday... I need Chronicles 5 & 6. I'm not so worried by the price reduction, more that I want em before the bloomin things go out of print!

They're still be available as downloads. Most of my BF stuff is download-only. I don't have the space for 300-ish cd's

Nor do I, but I like my media on physical formats. I'm... old fashioned. If I can't spin it on a disc I don't want it. I'm pretty choosy about what I buy from BF these days anyway having flogged my main range collection ages ago. I don't have that much to store.

I would prefer to have it all on physical media but I just had too much of it to store. As BF provide digital copies it was easy to move most of the CD's on to friends or to Oxfam for them to sell. I keep box sets already bought. Anything else I just order digital only for space reasons.

Finished listening to the six stories in the first full cast Blake's 7 series yesterday. Really enjoyed it. Close enough in style to Season 2 to match, but with just enough envelope pushing to make it different. The difference with these and the originals is that although these are individual stories they link more closely than the original's vague quest for Star One plot. These link into each other with cliff hangers and throw up some interesting ideas that could have featured in the series but would have pushed the effects, like dropping Liberator through a planet atmosphere to hide it under water. They have their own ongoing arc that takes them away from Star One and then drops them back onto that mission at the end. So good to hear the whole cast together again.

Finally gotten round to the first episode of Terrahawks.
Enjoyed it, nice approximation of Windsor Davies and it held up a lot better than the first episode of the show.

Big Finish books and ebooks sale this weekend, which is nice because I can complete my Blake's 7 hardback collection for a tenner. www.bigfinish.com/news/v/the-big-finish-book-bonanzaI was going to put this in the book deals thread, but I think that's more comics aimed. This sale covers some audiobooks too, so it kinda goes here.

Hmm. Starquest collected edition for three quid. Tempting. Child-Karl never got to read one of those, but the other two - along with Douglas Hill's work - got him pointed onto the road which lead to Cherryh, Weber, Clarke, and Ike...

I was tempted, but it appears the postage contribution for that book is a fiver. Must be pretty chunky; the postage for the B7 books is only £2 each.

Grim news, but during one of the panels at Dimensions it turns out Big Finish are trying to get Star Cops, but the rights are complicated.

If they can't get the theme they might as well not bother!

I genuinely love the theme. I think it works so well and is absolutely amazing. A bold but effective choice. Especially the extended use in the first episode as it goes over the action for like five minutes.
(Seriously, not being sarcastic, it's great)

Oh that would be awesome. Imagine the original cast and Boucher writing. I would be all over that. LOVE Star Cops. They could do the tenth episode Boucher wrote but wasn't made.
Oh please let this happen. PLEASE!

I used to think Moonbase 3 was pants, but then I watched it with my grown-up eyes and saw the light. Tis a great series. Star Cops though is a stellar series.
