A friend of mine has just discovered the Big Finish Robin Hood books, and as she's a huge fan of Richard Armitage is after them. Does anyone have any idea where they can be sourced from now? The website would seem to imply they're not available from there anymore.

They no longer have the license. Specialist Doctor Who retailers might still carry them. A quick ebay check shows an auction with 6 of them in one lot for 40 quid. Ebay AuctionAndy

BF still had the rights to sell physical copies but have now run out of them after chucking them in sales. The range did not sell well so cd's won't be repressed. They don't have download rights which is why you can't get the RH audios from them anymore.

I got round to listening to vol 2 of Blake's 7: The Liberator Chronicles. The highlight of the stories was 'Wolf' by a country mile in which the author remembers that Servalan really is an utterly ruthless evil bastard and goes for that angle full tilt. Not a hint of campery. Stonking stuff.

Some of those really are jolly good indeed. Reminds me I am a long way behind with buying them.

Even better, the £25 CD bundle for Season 2 is post free. That's about £4 an episode. Top.

As an aside, BF's account system is great. After a recent computer death I lost all my files but at least with BF I can just redownload them again so nothing is completely 'lost'. Phew!

Anyone having trouble being able to see Big Finish's website? All I get is a screen saying 'Your connection is not private' followed by 'This server could not prove that it is http://www.bigfinish.com; its security certificate expired yesterday. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.'
No problems accessing other parts of the interwebs!

Started series 8 of the best DW spin-off in any medium, namely 'Jago & Litefoot'. Episode 1 (Encore of the Scorchies) may be the maddest audio play I have ever heard. One whole hour of lunatic singing puppets using the power of song to kill. Amazing musical numbers. Just utterly radio rental. I had heard the DW CC Scorchies story but that takes the idea of killer puppets from kids shows and ramps up the lunacy factor enormously. It has to be heard to be believed.

Laughing my ass off through Volume 1 of Terrahawks. I love how it has been essentially retooled as a satire on austerity. Tiger Neinstein is also a proper dick but has no self-awareness.
Brilliant. This should not work at all but it does.

Loved Terrahawks, I need to get round to listening to the rest of the set.

Corks. The first full-cast series of Blake's 7 really does sound like the show has come back to life. Absolutely spot-on. Nice to see hear the late Gareth Thomas one last time.

It is brilliant. I loved it. I bagged series 2 in a sale a while back but am saving them for an appropriate time.
I've lost track of what's going on with that line now. I seem to recall they decided to stop the Chronicles with 12, but then said something about a line relaunch. Perhaps that's been affected by Gareth's death.

The BF podcast had mentioned a third full-cast series was planned but that was before Gareth Thomas passed away so time will tell if plans change or they call it a day with what is already out. Paul Darrow had serious health issues also, sadly.

Yes, but they don't seem to have stopped him getting about. The second series was also set during series three. It felt to me like they were stopping to rethink their approach because they hadn't realised it would be so successful. It'd be a shame if they have to stop there.

Been catching up on the 'Ordeals' and 'Judgement' of Sherlock Holmes boxsets. Cracking stuff. The former is a linked series of stories from before Holmes and Watson meet through to his beekeeper days. The second is a serial set during Holmes period of pretending to be dead after Reisenbach Falls. Very enjoyable and clever and both use the boxset format well.
