Ooh, that's a purchase. I'm game for any British TV sci-fi I haven't seen.

The boxset has gained an extra disc thanks to various bits offered up by collectors. Super excited by this!

I have seen some of this in grainy nth copy vision so will be nice to see it all properly. Always thought it strange it was not out there commercially.

It's previously unreleased obscure vintage telly with probably a low print run so price is what I expected.

Secured this morning, after a little chasing, in the HMV in Wimbledon.
Watched Level 7 - very well done but oh so grim - and Tunnel Under The World this afternoon.
Therew's a Camfield directed episode on here and one with the Ainley in it :-)

I need to watch my pennies a lot these days but decided to pick this up anyway as I had rather been looking forward to it having enjoyed a few grainy episodes on youtube from time to time. Hell of a lot on this release so looks like good value and will keep me going during nights in over winter methinks.

Watched a few of these at the weekend.
Nick is a very brave man: he watched Lamda 1, which reputedly makes the Sensorites look like an action movie. When one of my online colleagues saw the box contents with timings he said "is it only 51 minutes?"

I watched 'Stranger in the Family' earlier. If the X-Men had ever started as a low-key UK TV show rather than as a US comic this would be the pilot for it. Young mutants breaking out...being rounded up...heated and feared...the lead young man mutant has strong mental powers and is even called Charles!!!!
I was also a bit shocked to see General 'The Space Pirates' Helmack actually doing proper acting.

Although I can't afford to purchase it at the moment, I added it to my rental list on the strength of seeing a couple of episodes from it courtesy of mine host at the weekend just gone. Fortunately it has been released for rental at the same time as the retail release, so the first disc is on its way to me at the moment, hopefully the service should yield further discs once I get "Forbidden Planet" and the last disc of S1 of "Orphan Black" back to them in coming days.

It's a quality set. Decent adaptation of Asimov's The Dead Past on disc 1.

Got that and "Strangers in the family" left to go on disc one. Was rewatching the first two episodes, and listening to the commentary on the first this afternoon whilst tearing apart LEGO minikits to add to my raw materials pile. Good way to spend a rainy afternoon.
Looking forward to "The Dead Past", it is a short story I rather like and I am curious to see what they did with it.

Trying to get into a watching pattern with these after getting distracted.
Saw Stranger in the Family on Saturday night and Ralph's not wrong, this is the X-Men!
The Dead Past last night was pretty good, enjoyed that

Sadly the copy of disc 1 that I got from my rental service was faulty, and so I didn't get to see much of "Stranger's in the family" due to the disc skipping, refusing to play and generally not co-operating on that episode. I was however able to see "The Dead Past" which I thought was a really good adaptation of the original story. I thought the Wyndam story with which they opened the series was pretty good as well. Mixed feelings about "The Counterfeit Man" though. It was ok, but I don't think it has aged very well. Still, it isn't a bad hit rate for the surviving episodes so far.
