I have avoided all the shilling as I don't want to have seen most of the comic before it comes out. I shall get it on the Day of Pay next week along with the Knights if Pendragon issue that precedes it!

there's a panel about 10 pages in where DH1 raises his eye brows. Superb

Got Death's Head issue - thought it was great. Anything else I should get in this crossover event thing? Doing it digitally....

Some of the continuity was a bit beyond me, but what a great, fun comic. Great job by Nick and the writers! Need to track down the trade when the time comes.
The layout for the first page seems strikingly familiar, any ideas? I've searched through some stuff that seemed possible, but got nothing. Maybe it's just my imagination.

It's a bit unusual, but I always liked Steve Sampson's artwork.

Can't believe I missed that at the time...
And I don't care how much those comics might be about to be worth - FROM MY COLD, DEAD HANDS.

Am I missing something? I can't actually seen an announcement about a series on those links (but then I find Bleeding Cool very hard to read at the best of times).

You're missing something. In the pictures hinting at new series there's Death's Head.
There's also Black Panther, someone with a bow I don't recognise (American Eagle?), Citizen V, a black cloaked character with a sword (? Who could be El Aguila or the surviving Fenris twin Swordsman) with Death's Head on the Top right.
The bottom row is Hercules, which we know is coming, the Hickman Starbrand, either the Marvel romance thing that's started in SW or Scarlet witch, the Hickman Nightmask and Black Widow.

I see the picture now but still nothing stating he has his own series. Might be a guest or co-starring spot in another comic?

Let's hope that this is a hint at his upcoming role in Guardians of the Galaxy - Volume Two!
Damn. I knew there was something I should've been doing this last year...

He'll get something, even it's just a mini to allow them to reassert the trademark, springing out of Guardians of the Galaxy would be a good fit.

I bought a Forbidden Planet comic assortment pack yesterday and discovered I now owned an issue of Avenging Spider-man #17 featuring Death's Head. The issue takes place in the Fantastic 4's Baxter building (with an appearance by Alex Power of Power Pack, who I recognise from the Thundercats back-up strip) in a possible homage to the original DH series. Sadly, Death's Head is demoted to villain of the week and is quickly dispatched by Spider-Man in a few pages.

Well Death's Head did appear recently in X-Men '92.
I must get those issues.
