None in FPE, FPM or Travelling Man. Is the physical copy delayed?

Crivvens, and #1 was a pain to find too. I'll wait for the trade.

Well that’s a pain. I preordered it on FP but they list release as tomorrow. The bank hol would explain that at least. I was looking on Comixology for a preview- now I’m even more confused that it was there last week.
Did anyone pick up a paper copy?
I really hope I’ve not missed it.

Reading it digitally, though I did get Issue 1 in paper format from City Centre Comics in Glasgow on Saturday.

The physical copy of #2 was delayed to the UK [along with some other Marvel books] and came out today.
The digital copy would have been released last week, when the book was supposed to have shipped.
Bank Holidays no longer delay UK releases by a day. Most shops get their comic deliveries on a Tuesday, so they can sort and have the new books on the shelves for opening Wednesday morning. The Bank Holiday delays the delivery by a day, so we get the delivery on a Wednesday and have to sort it and get it on the shelf the same day. It is not fun.
The reason for this is digital comics. Physical stores want to make sure they have product available the same day as digital, to avoid losing sales.

[grumpy old man] wouldn’t it be nice if for once a book called Death’s Head was about DH having adventures instead of creating legacy versions of the character over and over [/grumpy old man]

It would I agree. But I am relieved that this version is less of an upgrade and just... different. . Hopefully this will be a springboard for further DH outings though.

The big Marvel softcover of original DH is out. £36 in FPM. It does indeed lack the Doctor Who crossovers so no sale. I have the original issues and a nice trade would be lovely but not an incomplete one.

Well that's crap isn't it. Everything that was in the previous two volume release, except DWM 135 and the actual 8th issue of the comic because it had the Doctor in. I share your annoyance there. That's a shame.

the 217(!)th issue of the Hachette Marvel Partwork is listed for AprilThere's no details about a second book - this collection is currently set to end at 220 but this is Hachette. I noticed Geoff Senior's name was not on the cover - he drew issue 9 - and asked Simon about it:

I made a brief visit to Forbidden Planet Southampton and spotted the new DH paperback. The only new addition is the Marvel Heroes UK comic where Death's Head meets The Hulk (disturbingly, the story was published 12 years ago!). I notice Simon Furman and chums are signing copies of the new paperback at Forbidden Planet London this Saturday (Feb 29th). Anyone planning to attend?

Wow. 12 years then since the last original UK story for Marvel characters was published then. After DH/Hulk it's been US reprints only.

Looks very unlikely there will be a second Death's Head book in the Hachette series now, as 220 was billed as the last and the series included is "The End"

Was it any good? From the previews I read the art looked great but the dialog seemed a bit strained and not as funny as it was supposed to be.
