Wait, so Springload really is a Frog Truck? I had hoped, but I wasn't sure... Honestly, the RiD Decepticons are some of the best stuff to come out of Transformers recently - for my mileage. They have a fun concept behind them - vehicle to robot animal is something a bit different. If only they were better distributed, and a less off-putting price.

I have almost bought the Springload one-step changer many times due to the frog truck mode.

I'm really liking the look of that Bludgeon. Dunno why, but that colour scheme seems to suit that mold well. Also I'm definitely down for that Laserbeak/Soundwave activators combo - looks a lot more interesting than the Blaster retool in Titans Return.

1-step Blurr is a no-brainer when you think about it. The fastest Autobot of all now transformers in...a blur!

Those all look rather good. Shame it's at the tail-end of the line that they finally got their act together

Interesting Twinferno has cropped up there too. That Bludgeon does look good, but being a warrior might diminish it a bit.

Definitely want that Bludgeon. He will go in my Generations line up, along with Origin Drift.

Who does he combine with?

He doesn't. The Combiner Force branding is on all RiD products despite only some of them combining. See also: Leader Megatron, Leader Ultra Magnus.
However in this case it seems to be very few toys that combine in certain size classes, not Warriors, so it's a bit of a swizz.

Aww. Phil made me think for a minute that there was a leader Megs and Magnus coming in the RiD line.

Hey, Animated Leader Magnus is a masterful thing. The RiD line would benefit from more bigguns that don't look like shampoo bottles. I love my TAV-33 shouty Optimuso Prime. RiD Magnus could be great.
And there's nothing wrong with the old RiD Magnus either.

Ralph's Magnus woes I have read of before. Tis a tricky toy, but a goodun. There is much play value in him and the Prime.

The RiD Overload we got Jonathan today is such fun, especially in ball firing tank mode. Burns will love it.
Will now need Lord Doomitron!

I've just seen the Combiner set RID toys out - so same toys but without the toy being sealed in plastic this time so you can pull the toy right out the pack.

Having bought Jonathan Overload earlier in the week I've now been hunting him Cyclone Minicons to go with it. I'd been aware that there was some name fuss with Back & Forth but hadn't realised how bad it was till I got Forth today ..... and discovered he's exactly the same as Back! tfwiki.net/wiki/BackI will now have to find the Grimlock and Back set to get the inverse coloureds Back and use him as Forth. Further confusion will arrive when Forth shows up in the cartoon: tfwiki.net/wiki/Forth<screams> No matter, all is well, we now have Lord Doomitron tfwiki.net/wiki/Lord_Doomitron

There's the sensible black and purple evil version.
Then there's an orange and green version in a boxset, the sort of toy the words "g2" we're invented for.
