No, I don't think there's a Sensational X-Men issue in this set.
What with Digging for Energon this Saturday looks to have a cracking line up already!

This is lifeless. I feel like I am reading a fancy pitch/planning document rather than a story. Bugger this. To the charity shop pile! -Ralph Well, not safe yet to go to small charity shops so dug it out to try again. This would be 100% better if the story didn't come to a grinding halt every few pages to have large text pieces to explain the back story: details that should be in the actual comic!!! Show, don't tell. They are very beautifully designed text pieces but they kill momentum stone dead. Imagine you are watching a film and every few minutes the screen froze to have a big chunk of text explaining what is going on. I am up to the bit where the X-Men go to get the Mother Mould. That is a good section as the comic is allowed to breathe a bit and the action is strong. The problem, however, is that I was rooting for the humans. The Moira X introduction was good and even pulled off repeating two full pages later on to make a story point without it feeling like ripping off the reader with duplicate material. That's clever. Alas, it feels due to Certain Things that just happened that this is all going to be undone by the end. Sigh. I really hate lower case lettering. -Ralph

Ooops, no. Just got to the Magic Plot Device that sorts that. Fuck sakes.
And that Mr Sinister scene is awful. Tonaly comes from a completely different comic.
What is this actually about???
3 issues to go.

I'm struggling to get through it and still haven't finished it. It never gets any momentum going as whenever a plot point happens the comic stops for a text piece of up to 3 pages. That's a technique which can be very effective when used sparingly but not every few pages. It's a shame as there are good ideas in here but the execution is tedious to read. I can't deny it's better than X-comics have been for quite some time, but I don't enjoy it. I want to but it's not working for me at all. -Ralph

Finally finished it. Patience tested with two much repetition in the last 3 chapters and it stopping rather than having a proper ending. Also: the X-Men are now essentially the villains. I don't care about any of them in this book. I was rooting for humanity to wipe them out!
Fuck me, that was tedious. It's killed my interest in current X-Men stone dead. I have no urge to pick up any of the books that follow.
I'll tune back in next time the x-books are rebooted!

They introduced another third Summers brother in Deadly Genesis with the secret mission before the All New X-Men. Gabriel Summers aka Vulcan.
One of the writers for Cable had loose plans for Apocalypse to be the third Summers brother. Adam-X for the win!!!
