Bulkhead- Animated not Prime. Green Ironhide territory How is a voyager Bulkhead torso too similar to Ironhide? I've always felt that Bulkhead, big green robot with big guns, feels like a vehicle derivative of Rhinox, which in turn is a beast mish mash of Wheeljack and Ironhide. The impression has been arrived at by not seeing any Animated or Prime so your Mileage may vary considerably here. Similarly Movie Hound is Hound's name on something that's obviously Bulkhead. Rodimus Prime- Space Winnebago. Does not need remolds to justify its existence. it's got the touch, it's got the power. Possibly an oversized Hot Rod voyager that becomes Rodimus Prime in combined mode might work better? and Rodimus is implied as a voyager. All these are. I think you misunderstand what I'm getting at here: The Voyager is the Hot Rod futuristic car. We've seen it done somewhat successfully at Voyager size in Cloud though it's usually a deluxe. It becomes Rodimus Prime in combined mode, playing on the existing fictional idea that Rodimus Prime is the Powered Up Hotrod. It's like how I've suggested the white Optimus be Ultra Magnus's cab/small robot and the combined mode gets a Magnus super mode head. Or Having a Megatron Voyager becomes Galvatron's Torso. Or Starscream become Emperor Starscream. Take advantage of some of the existing fictional power ups for TFs instead of inventing new odd ones like Cyclonus becoming Galvatronus

They *didn't* effectively do a van with First Aid. The FA retool is nothing van-like at all, unless you're *extremely* liberal with the term "van." Which I am. Thing that's bigger than a car but still has 4 wheels. Ambulances are special vans :-) FA is an SUV. And isn't remotely similar at all in either vehicle or robot mode, to a proper Ironhide or Ratchet. Is that what he is? I thought it was an attempt to do a flash version of a traditional style ambulance. Yeah, they did an Ironhide in CW, but he has a completely wrong vehicle, and a robot that looks nothing at all like any existing ironhide save for color and head alone. Completely the wrong version for G1 Ironhide but there's a strong Ironhide/pickup association now through the Movies and Prime. Also, there are more types of fire trucks than just one. Especially given that Hotspot is only vaguely fire truck-like. True. When I think of Fire Engines I think Inferno and they don't look right without a ladder on the top. If there's no ladder how will the fireman reach the children trapped on the third floor of the burning building? Fire engines are just wrong without them!

A thought: Isn't somehow Archforce meant to be Straxus? A Megatron tank repaint, in purple, with a Straxus combined mode head. I have money for that.

I thought it was an attempt to do a flash version of a traditional style ambulance. Virtually all of Hasbro's ambulances now a days are actually just SUVs. Universe 1.0 Ratchet, U 2.0 Ratchet, CW First Aid, and I'm sure there's some I'm forgetting. I know pick-ups and suvs aren't a big thing over there, but they're friggin' inescapable over here. An SUV is basically just an oversized pick-up with an extended interior, instead of a bed. In american culture they serve the same purpose as minivans used to, to haul one or two kids around. But there's nowhere near the interior space as a proper van. I believe the only proper ambulance they've ever done is Prime Ratchet. Everything else has been minivans or SUVs. Or whatever the hell that fictional vehicle movie Ratchet is supposed to be that doesn't actually exist. An SUV makes a terrible ambulance. There's no room for paramedics to stand in or move around. There are actual van ambulances though, so G1 FA and Ratchet aren't much of a stretch (though FA is better suited, not being tiny like Ratchet). But almost all ambulances are built like Prime Ratchet. Pick-up truck front, with a giant box in the back, with enough room to stand and move in. More like a moving van, in this fashion. But I see a proper Van limb following G1 Ironhide. Similar to FA's transformation but with a flat front that folds onto the chest, window covering the connector. Head probably similar transformation to Brawl.

In the UK most ambulances would be a pickup style front with a box on the back too, or a more Ratchet like van design.
They're also all now a mix of yellow and green as you'll see if do a google image search for UK Ambulance.
At this point I suppose we really should call in the expert in these matters:
Ian what sort of Ambulance do you drive? Can you find us a picture?

Errrr, I dunno, they're just kinda converted vans... pretty basic actually! A box with four wheels. All different makes, a lot of Mercedes at the mo. You know the big square jobbies? We're getting some sleeker looking Mercs now. But room in the back is paramount. You need to space of a van definitely. An SUV just wouldn't do this handsome young life-saver! And yes, all yellow now. A&E ones, anyway. With 'go faster' green and yellow checks.

Ratchet's original alt-mode is not much like the ambulances we have on the road over here. Given that Ratchet transformed into a Nissan One-Box he'd be a very small ambulance indeed - a lot narrower and lower than anything I've seen in this country. There would be room to get a casualty in the back of one, but I think you'd be hard-pressed to fit in a paramedic too - and if you could they wouldn't really have room to do anything. It'd be more a "casualty evacuation" vehicle than what we tend to think of as an ambulance.
(Ratchet and Ironhide, like Skids, are two of the original characters whose vehicle modes were drawn significantly larger than actual-size in the media. Likely for the same reasons as Skids - the character designers weren't familiar with the small size of the real vehicles in question).

Building on my hypothetical CW multipack that don't fit in the standard wave format, and only appeal to adult collectors idea. Appealing to adults more or less because each of these have a more limited market appeal, for various reasons.
Air Command- Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp, from Airraid. New head shared between them. Knock out all three in one go.
Detect & Protect- Nightbeat from Dead End, and Siren from Streetwise. A new head and chest shared between them.
Punish & Enslave- Barricade from Streetwise, and Smoulder from First Aid
Road Warriors- Knockout from Dead End and Breakdown from First Aid
Renegades- Cop-Tur from Alpha Bravo, Crasher from Mirage, and Cy-Kill from Groove
Guardians- Turbo from Dead End, Leader-1 from Airraid, and Scooter from legends Groove

Since it doesn't seem right using Unite Grand Scourge as a Motormaster substitute with the Stunticons I was trying to come up with his own team of Decepticon Car Bots.
I'd got Runamuck/Runabout from Deadend, and Baricade from Streetwise, but beyond that .....
Any ideas?

Idea: Legends class Gigatron/RiD Megatron Converts from robot, to his iconic two-headed dragon, to hand that can be plugged into any CW combiner

COMBINER WARS AUTOBOTS.
If there was one more wave, JUST ONE MORE, 1 core and 4 limbs, who would you wish for?
Jazz (Deadend mold)
Ratchet (Offroad mold)
core: Inferno (obviously Hotspot)
All the above should be fairly easy for them to do.
Then.... hmmm, not sure... a Sideswipe to partner Sunstreaker? (Breakdown mold)
Brawn from Rook would be fun, and that would mean five different molds used.
Warpath from Brawl? Here's a crazy thought- I don't own the mold so I'm not sure, but a Seaspray from Rook..?

ok, now this is really bonkers wishing, but...
Seaspray from Rook. Powerglide from an Aerialbot. Beachcomber from Swindle. Cosmos.....? Warpath from Onslaught!
That'd be brilliant. I'd muddle-wrestle my mum for that set....
(Cosmos would need a new mold.....
oh my god, or a GREEN AND YELLOW SPACE SHUTTLE?!?!?!?!?)

I think you could be right.
I'm expecting a Rodimus Prime in there somewhere.
If we get Scorponok this year I'll start to suspect a fix in that Next Titan Poll.

Unless it's a non-Titan Scorponok. i.e. A figure that can actually interact with others. That'd be nice.
Yeah, I also think we'll get an Overlord. From Sentinel Prime. (Because, why not?)
