Pfffffff. Lost interest in the comic 2-packs when it became clear they were being released over here without the bloody comics, ie half the damn package!

Skids still looks too blue to me, definitely holding on to see what Takara do there (ideally, they'd announce MP Skids...).

No, as a Skids fan, not over the moon. Doesn't look like Skids very much. Amen to a MP Skids, baby.

Couldn't find a generic Classics/RTS/Generations thread... Warning - following link includes some Transformers4 figures listed, so if you're trying to not know the Transformers cast, don't enter... www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-news-rumors/961813-new-gi-joe-star-wars-listings-hasbros-cust-service-site-can-anyone-find-tfs.htmlAnywho - how many of these did we know about?? GENERATIONS: Leaders: - Jetfire - Megatron Voyagers: - Brainstorm - Roadbuster - Sky-Byte Deluxes: - Arcee - Chromia - Jhiaxus - Hardhead - Tank ( ) - Crosscut - Nightbeat - Rattrap - Tankor Legends: - Brawn w/ Mudslinger - Gears w/ Eagle Eye - Cliffjumper w/ ? - Gnaw w/ Gnash Generations Skybyte?? The botcon one was a deluxe, so should be a new mold. Hopefully Arcee will finally be the G1 figure we've been wanting for 27 years. Leader Megatron? We just had the stealth bomber - perhaps this will be a G2 style tank?

Some of those names have been about for a bit. Hardhead in particular as a Warpath repaint with a new head. Gears and Cliffjumper are obvious repaints.
And found you the thread you were looking for

Some good names on there hopefully not all just repaints.
I might be alone but I hope the leader class megatron is the DOTM design. They finally got a great movie design for Megs only for the DOTM toys to all to often suck.
If its not I'm struggling to think of a Megatron that justifies the size. G2 maybe? Armada?

I would be surprised if we ever see hasbro reuse a mold that predates prime and foc. So while i dont discount hardhead being a warpath repaint, i feel its unlikely.

They've done it several times this year: Energon Prime and Omega Supreme

We also saw the alternate head back in ... 2010? ... and it was clearly Hardhead, still unused, and it was only this year that Scourge's alternate head was finally released as Ratbat by Takara. Seems fairly likely to be the Warpath mould.

They've done it several times this year: Energon Prime and Omega Supreme Not as part of the generations mainline. Those two exist outside of the mainline pricepoints that generations and prime have to adhere to. Also either takara or hasbro china had the molds and decos ready to go. Exactly like the GDO.

If the step up in quality the voyagers took this year is any indication, the older generations are more likely to be reused than the FOC deluxes. Even the IDW generations generally feel a little bigger and better than the FOC line generally.

Exciting stuff. I love the thought of a voyager Roadbuster to go with the upcoming Whirl. That's really filling out the Wreckers lineup at a nice scale. What chance a third party Impactor in the voyager size...
Does that list also imply the Generations line is expanding to leader class figures? A new Jetfire at that size done as well as the Voyagers we've had this year could be awesome. I like the way the Generations line has grown and evolved in the last two years. When you look at something like Trailcutter next to FoC Jazz there's a huge difference in the aesthetic and quality.

@boga,
I definately agree that generations has stepped up it's game. However, plastic quality and moving parts still isnt up to the pre-dotm standard (not saying dotm was that much of a step down, but to me its the mark of when hasbro killed everything) And if you compair recent repaints like botcon electro, and the current club exclusives, to the originals, they really feel lighter, and a bit more knockoffy. But, I'll be happy to be proven wrong!
@pinwing, There's nothing to indicate that the leader megatron and jetfire are generations. They could easily be movie related.

For which there already is a leader class Jetfire that could be wheeled out again I suppose. That one was the only figure from the film releases I bought; I really like him but he's a chuffing pain to transform. I won't get my hopes up then!

I'm confused about the presence of a good chunk of the Rocky cast among the figure names, but not as confused about the existence of a character called "Thunderlips". What?

That "new" list just looks like someone mistakenly merged in the AOE list, so, um, spoilers! (for those who care. I don't!) I guess we all knew Dinobots were coming anyway, so my big hope is that this is motivation for Takara to reverse engineer some G1 Dinobot moulds for Encore.
The main names which prick up my ears for Generations are Jhiaxus / Arcee / Nightbeat (together with Hardhead you could be forgiven for wondering if Nova Prime will be far behind).

Gah! Rhinox looks so good, but I can't decide if I prefer the Takara metallic cartoon look or Hasbros slightly plain but more natural looking version.

Loving Swerve and Flanker; does anyone else find Cosmos' proportions a bit off though? It looks like he's been made to look more tall and heroic where I always consider him somewhat squat and geeky. Could just be me, but I sort of prefer the Universe Legends version.
I waver on which Rhinox I prefer, too. Overall I think I'm content with the Telemocha reissue though and will pass on this.

I'm getting twitchy about this line now. We had the first IDW deluxes at the same time as America didn't we? If not just before? So we're now still sat at wave one and wave four is due in the US possibly as soon as next month.
Where's my Hoist Toys R Us? Don't let me down now. It's a shame springer and blitzwing haven't come out either. But then I suppose the FoC Voyagers were way behind the US.
