Oh man... I looked at that Rhinox gallery with a massive dopey grin on my face. It's clearly a labour of love. Looks fantastic.

Still waiting on wave 1 of those legends to turn up in TRU though!

Shiney metallic organic animals = fail.
Hasbro wins rhinox hands down. Too bad because takara could make the bw classics epic, if the applied the shiney metallic paint to the robot parts and not the animal parts.

Part of me really likes the Takara job, but I do prefer Hasbros. Right up until I see it with weapons raised and completely unpainted. It makes it look like its an unpainted test shot despite having pretty decent paint all over the main figure. I guess they can be painted.

I think with takara's metallic shiny paint on the robot parts, and the much more realistic matte colors for all organic parts like hasbro uses, would make these things better than masterpieces. They'd look like mainframe's models come to life.

I am so insanely tempted to get both and parts swap.
I really shouldn't.

The Rhinox hurts my head. On the one hand the robot parts in animal modes in the legs are annoying but on the other hand they seem perfectly in step with what looks like a 'lost' toy that fell from a time-warp from 1996 or from a Universe where the original Rhinox toy was actually good! It looks simultaneously like a 90's toy and a 2013 toy! MOONS OF MADNESS!

Rhinox looks good. Not getting the Rom connection other than both are silver with red eyes.

Waspinator looks great. Skids looks spankadelic. He may benefit from a lick of paint.

Love Skids but look at the size of those feet! Is he wearing great big clown shoes?

Destroy the world? Right, recall the survey teams, go shell down and get ready to launch the Colony Module back into orbit - we may have to be ready to find another Earth-type planet out in this arm. Ah well, I was due to pull a few more flight-hours anyway - I may be able to spend them doing fold-jumps for recon.
In seriousness - I do like that Rhinox, it feels like they've gone heavily for a tribute to the animation model, which in this case is a plus because the animation design was vastly better than the Rhinox toy. The Waspinator doesn't really do much for me - perhaps because Waspy already had two pretty good toys back in Beast Wars and it doesn't feel much like an improvement.

The success if Rattrap lies in what they do with the hindlegs in alt-mode I think! (Robot looks gorgeous though!)

Oh yeah! The beast Wars chaps are all coming out nicely. I know they arent perfect but I'm going to have to dig out Cheetor and Dinobot. Original Primal and Megatron aren't too bad still, though I wish I had grabbed the 10th anni repaints when I had them in my hands.
Hopefully a Packrat repaint and a Razorbeast remould will follow.

And now I'm really excited to see Nightbeat, if hes at the same level of mini masterpiece that the Gen line has been at since Springer and Sandstorm then I must have.

Yeah, they really seem to have pulled out all the stops. I haven't been this excited for a new TF line since... well, the last assortment of Generations/Universe -Nick

If they came with the comics in the UK I'd buy a few but I'm not paying full price when half of each package is missing (the toys and comics being intended to work together as a whole). A shame. Some of them look fab, especially Scoop!

We know the mold used for Skywarp is tops. The three new toys look really good. I think this is one of the best waves for a long while.

There was a Scoop comic?? Each of the new Generations deluxes come with a new comic about that character. They are designed to go together, but over here the comics are left out. -Ralph
