I'm glad I ended up passing on Victorion. That washed out teal is really unappealing.

I managed to snag a Victorion during the five minutes BBTS had them in stock, this morning.

Seen on US news site we have wave 4 CW out (wheeljack etc) in the UK but seem we are skipping Combacticons limbs - I guess we are unlikely to get Skylynx too (but he should be pictured on Wheeljack box)

Decided to reply to phil here as my comments started to veer wildly off subject: Torchbearer JumpstreamThe Breakdown mould returns as Victorion member Jumpstream where it receives a new head, chest plate, remoulded hands with an open inner face and hand held shield. I'm struggling to think of terribly many other Transformers with a shield that's an accessory, rather than part of another mode, and Robotmasters Psycho Orb is the only one that springs to mind. Essentially Breakdown is just another Breakdown/Sunstreaker, my fifth one this year and sixth overall. The annoying hips get more annoying every time and, like Deadend, it's been used too much. The problem is there are uses of this I'd like to see: 1984 Sideswipe, G2 Sideswipe and Red Alert none of which appear to be coming soon. Alt mode aside, dead end would be a significantly better sideswipe, especially if it uses the streetwise chest. But this is all the problem with Victorion. Hasbro made a terrible decision to do the Fan combiner poll at the START of CW, as opposed to now. Doing it now would have opened up the First Aid, Streetwise, Wheeljack, Rook, Swindle, Brawl, Groove, Afterburner, Blastoff, Strafe, other Strafe, Nosecone, other Nosecone, Onslaught, Scattershot, Cyclonus, Skylynx, Shockwave, and Bombshell molds to the equation. And I also think they were too specific to which mold was what limb, which allowed TWO alpha bravos. While Hasbro made the best of a bad situation by doing something clever, it still shouldn't have been allowed to happen. The way the poll was set up, they could have ended up with four helicopters. I don't think I'd have chosen any differently on the torso myself, but given my choices for *all* options, I'd have not done any of the chosen limbs. First Aid Blastoff (uw) Nosecone (uw) Dragstrip And maybe Shockwave over groove (i know we weren't given a choice in the legend)

I'm sure I've said this before, but the rant... she builds in me again!
It irritates me the lack of foresight on Hasbro's part, given how much they KNEW theyvwould be reusing most of these molds. And by the time it's done, we'll own six or more versions of virtually every deluxe mold in this line in under two years. That's record usage.
So with all of that, and given how overly simple each deluxe is, it's getting harder and harder to excuse the lack of robot mode options. With very simple tweaks when in the design phase, and they could have done some extremely clever kibble-fu on most of them.
Dragstrip very easily could have had the same duel robot gimmick as universe sunstreaker/sideswipe. Design the front end to sit lower, the front wheels to not be so wide, and design the lower arms and fists to work swiveled around to his back, and there you go. Mirage/skid-z.
Deadend/Streetwise. With a little work when designing all the hinges, it wouldn't have inconceivable to have designed the front end to lay over the shoulders to become a chest like Prowl/Jazz, or even collapse down like Sideswipe. and I feel like Offroad could have done similar. I also feel like, that while it'd have taken more work, that the jets might could have been designed with Seeker options with their wings and nosecones.

Now I have Hasbro Bruticus in hand I'm pretty sure I made the right choice. These colours are better than the photos of the Unite one. Blast Off looks more like Blast Off than the shuttle version, even with the wrong head.
I deliberated for months over this but I think for once I made the right choice.

Blastoff really is the best version of that mold. The colors may be drab, but for some reason they really pop on it.

people selling combiner wars on ebay from Taiwan are knock off I'm guessing? I don't think so. I bought my Devastator from Taiwan, and it seems official. To the point that it comes with the extra sticker sheet, which was specific, as a pack-in, to Taiwan. (Although purchasable separately in other geographies.)

I'm sure I've said this before, but the rant... she builds in me again! You have but some things just continue to grate with all of us. Dragstrip very easily could have had the same duel robot gimmick as universe sunstreaker/sideswipe. Design the front end to sit lower, the front wheels to not be so wide, and design the lower arms and fists to work swiveled around to his back, and there you go. Mirage/skid-z. Agree. Having thought about it a bit the last few days I think there might be a Hot Rod retool in Dragstrip. Deadend/Streetwise. With a little work when designing all the hinges, it wouldn't have inconceivable to have designed the front end to lay over the shoulders to become a chest like Prowl/Jazz, or even collapse down like Sideswipe. and I feel like Offroad could have done similar. Ditto for Breakdown as Sideswipe/Red Alert. I also feel like, that while it'd have taken more work, that the jets might could have been designed with Seeker options with their wings and nosecones. Air Raid is ALMOST close enough, and I wouldn't moan seeing this get the STRIKE PLANES YOU SAID THE S-WORD DON'T THINK I DIDN'T NOTICE deco treatment but proper F15 wings would be nice too.

So I got my Victorion yesterday, and I love her. She's not without issues, though. Mainly that ugly-ass sun faded green they use. She would have been significantly better in the originally planned teal. Listening to fan bitching isn't always the correct thing to do, and this is such a case. The other issues are the dead end and breakdown molds are really hanging by a thread. Jumpstream is actually fallung apart.
The good though, all the new tooling is amazing. The mew headsculpts are fantastic, and the new parts are spectacular, and do a lot to freshen these molds up. Pyra Magna is now my favorite version of the fire engine mold. She feels so totally different.
