Dammit, no Blades! Blades, of course, being the Cub's favourite...

Nicking this from TFW2005. Because why not? Optimus Prime! With a trailer that turns into a race track! There is no way I am not getting this.

And a fast shooting one at that!
Maybe that's not something to boast about...

This is a good idea - better than the roll & flip 2 set. But they can't do Blades.

Going by the Hasbro entertainment map in the Toyfair news 17/2/17 - 2017 Rescuebots, 2018 Rescubots, 2019 Rescuebots If the show is going to run that long I believe that is going to make its lead as longest-running Transformers show pretty much unassailable. Which is a fantastic thing! Karl

We may see ideas for the next cartoon in this non cartoon series line now.

Rescue Bots has a cartoon. Rescue Bots Academy, which is the sequel to/replacement for Rescue Bots. One of the new toys for this year is the Hot Shot character from Rescue Bots Academy. I'm not sure I'd class it as not having a cartoon.
Quite like the look of some of this stuff. Dino Prime is a fun-looking toy, and his comedy anklyousar-shield is great. Quite like the look of Off-Road Hot Shot, and the Bumblebee with the robot police dogs that turn into a gilette or cardigan-thing.

That isn't until 2019 which is going to be a new toy range for it. So 2017 2018 rescuebots toy line have not been for the cartoon. Starting with the Dragon 2 minicon Bumblebee set

I went off the idea of Rescue Bots Academy when I saw it was hiring only non-union actors hence changes in voice for some of the characters being carried over from the earlier show. Oh well.

Also you seen how often we get Dangermouse - we get some but it seems they are still making the series when they start airing it.

I think the last time we had a new DM (apart from xmas) was October 17. They do seem to run late on getting them out with about 10 episodes.

The blind bags are here! I grabbed 3. Two of them are Optimus Primes and a blue cop robot chap. Very similar to the Tiny Titans blind bags though some cost-cutting as no art cards this time. They have a gimmick in that the arm pieces can be swapped out between different figurines.
Another difference is that the figures are on trays inside the bags (like Marvel 500) so a bit harder to packet feel. The fiends.
16 to collect: 8 characters (2 versions of each).

Rescue Bots were on steep clearance in Tescopolis and Saisburgeries of late. Got Optimus Prime and Brushfire. These are one-step changers in execution but so much better than the toys actually sold in name as 1-step changers in other lines. Much bigger and more durable. They look better in both forms and the way they transform is really neat and fun: a ome-step toy can work if the implementation is good. Fab interaction with the minicon partners also available: animals that turn into accessories (not a million miles from certain aspects of the Siege line).
I wouldn't usually bother with these (I am not the target market) but they're great fun for what they are. Hardly anyone ever talks about the Rescue Bots line, which is a shame.

Now what's interesting about that is that that's the first time I'd seen that picture. And it's a digibash! I didn't even realise there'd been any Rescue Bots presence at Toy Fair. It's disappointing that there was absolutely no focus on it from any of the news sites. Yes, that has a Seibertron watermark, and the picture's there, but as I say, this is the first I'd heard of it.
