Didn't make it to the newsagent's today due to teeth and weather.
However Liz did in Minehead and got EXM & MWOM for me. MWOM demonstrates why it's important to put the title of the book large on the cover this month as the the lead strip and thus the big logo has changed!

Indeed.
EXM promises Inhumans V X-Men next month...

Hmm. I am beginning to see why X-Men comes in for criticism these days. I'm enjoying Avengers and Legends far more at the moment. The stories and characters have more depth. Death of X should be a pivotal comic given the ongoing saga of the terragen mist, but it just isn't very interesting.

Death of X should be a pivotal comic given the ongoing saga of the terragen mist, but it just isn't very interesting. The X-Men books have been in a bit of a mess since Grant Morrison left. I liked some of Kieron Gillen's work but it was hampered by the utter dead-end the X-Men have found themselves in for years, Andy

The strip in issue nine starts with a box with a caption about something like "the land that would one day be America" and end with Loki and his mate capturing the dragon The same pages are repeated in the middle of issue ten. Oh blimey, yes, there are ten pages repeated. The creator credits and 'the end' move about though. That's very odd. Shows how well I took that part of the story in; I'd no idea what was going on. Now have the digital trades so will check later.... Grabbed the female Thor trades I didn't have plus the Thor/Eternals books that I foolishly sold trade copies of.

The last 10 pages of Thor 6, which should have been in Marvel Legends 9, are missing replaced with the last ten pages of Thor 7 which are them printed in the correct place in Marvel Legends 10
I can see how it happened now I know which pages of which issues but even so......

Started on my backlog of Paninivision. There was some loud swearing. Marvel Legends has blown the ending of Civil War II which has yet to feature in AU!!! Just like when one title blew the mystery of who the new Thor was before it was printed! I had managed to stay spoiler free.
I am not happy. How hard would it have been to delay that Iron Man issue by chucking in some back catalogue material until Legends was in synch with AU? The spoiler was also in the 'story so far' text on page 2!

You know the SOMETHING has happened but you don't know the why and how and that's teased out over the next few months.

Wow. So this is a cock-up that originated from Marvel US??? Good grief.
Paninivsion is still partly responsible as their 'story so far' recap makes it abundantly clear what happened to X!

A lot more stories especially built around events seem to do this (though partly I can understand as event spoilers can be unavoidable so why not structure the story so that it doesn't matter). I really wouldn'y worry too much about having the end of Civil War II spoiled It's really really dumb and clumsy and ushers in one of Marvel's worst eras of recent memories.

It is stupid. Ralph's reaction is the same as mine on the previous page of this thread. I get the point about how you don't know when or why the event happens, but given the next issue box in AU this month leading up to the last part of CWII is basically X v Y!!! WHO WILL WIN?!? you can't help but think, I don't care anymore because Legends told me the answer two months ago.
I was really quite enjoying CWII until that happened.

The editorial for AU #7 invites readers to wonder how Civil War II will end this issue. We already know because the editorial of ML gave it away two months ago! There was even a picture!

From a conversation elsewhere it has been noted that Essential X-Men has been running continuously for 22 years! Is this the longest a US character/property has stayed in continuous publication on UK newsstands? I forget how long the Spider-Man title of the 70's/80's ran in its various guises. I forget if there was a gap between The Complete Spider-Man and Panini taking over Spidey.

An afternoon in the long boxes and perusing comicvine.gamespot.com/series/ now means my X-Men table, above, has been extended up to date, and I have the later 50%ish of a similar one for Avengers. I also now know which issues which titles have skipped in recent times!

58 issues in volume 2
27 issues in volume 3
16 issues so far in volume 4 287 issues so far. I'm missing the last 75 from volume 1 and 1-17 & 23-26 of v2.
