Missing Marvel Legends picked up today plus X-Men and MWOM. Both X-Men and MWOM have the same misprint on the Marvel spotlight page! MWOM promises 100 issues and the return of the Silver Surfer next month, new number 1 so square bound. X-Men now 1 US issue behind each of it's US titles so it's a good bet that next month's 22 is the last in the current volume. So our Secret Empire table now looks like: | Avengers | Marvel Legends | X-Men | MWOM | Wolverine & Deadpool | ASM | 22/03/2018 | 4 SE | | | | 3 | | 29/03/2018 | | 22 SE | | | | 43 SE | 05/04/2018 | | | 22 | 1 | | | 12/04/2018 | | | | | | 44 SE | 19/04/2018 | 5 SE | | | | 4 | | 26/04/2018 | | 23 SE | | | | 45 SE | 03/05/2018 | | | 1 | 2 | | | 10/05/2018 | | | | | | 46 | 17/05/2018 | 6 SE | | | | 5 SE | | 24/05/2018 | | 24 SE | | | | 47 | 31/05/2018 | | | 2 | 3 | | | 07/06/2018 | | | | | | 48 | 14/06/2018 | 7 SE | | | | 6 SE | | 21/06/2018 | | 25 SE | | | | 49 | 28/06/2018 | | | 3 | 4 | | | 05/07/2018 | | | | | | 50 | 12/07/2018 | 8 SE | | | | 7 SE | | 19/07/2018 | | 1 SE | | | | 51 | 26/07/2018 | | | 4 SE | 5 SE | | | 02/08/2018 | | | | | | 52 | 09/08/2018 | 9 SE | | | | 8 SE | | 16/08/2018 | | 2 SE | | | | 53 | 23/08/2018 | | | 5 SE | 6 SE | | | 30/08/2018 | | | | | | 54 | 06/09/2018 | 10 SE | | | | 9 SE | | 13/09/2018 | | 3 SE | | | | 55 |

I'm quite looking forward to seeing how the cap story plays out. I've liked the Steve Rogers stories in Legends that have led up to it, even though the basic premise is an odd one.

Loved the first part! This story is ten times better than that Krang nonsense.

Bit of a gaff in this month's Legends. There's an advert for issue 4 of AU, on sale now, only the cover image used is issue 4 of the last volume, promoting Ultron Forever and dated Nov 2016.

Dear Panini,
Please do not cellotape trading cards to the front of your comics. It's hard enough reading them now you've switched to the squarebound format, but now I've got a sticky residue all over the covers too.

I have discovered the cover is strong enough to stand up to a quick squirt of WD40. Apparently Vegetable oil does the same trick. Residue removed.

I...may need to purchase some WD40 to degunk my comic.

Quick squirt, leave for ten seconds then gently rub with a cloth.

This month's Avengers. And next month's according to the back page.
This is an old series isn't it? It's almost like Panini are trying to do something with the stock they can't shift.

Yup.
I like free gifts like this. Reminds me of Marvel UK. I don't like comic damaging tape though!

Those free cards were a rather weird throwback, I don't think I've that kinda free gift in twenty years or so. In the old day I would have opened them but now I will just leave it stuck to the comic.

I've not seen any with the cards on but have seen the whole range of issues. But i'll keep checking. Are they the UK produced ones or US packs? We had those cards from back in 2000 (ess xmen 66)

We had those cards from back in 2000 (ess xmen 66) I've known some newsagents to remove free gifts to avoid theft and you get the free gift at the counter. The cards have Panini on the packaging so they must be British. I used to love trading cards but years of incomplete collections left me heart broken and "anti" trading cards.

Caught up on Paninivision. Now I can jump off X-Men. It's been poor for a while and now the current storylines are done I can drop it. Promising the Shadow King for the new volume is not a winner for me!

WD40 at the ready. I wouldn't mind so much if the cards were nice for bookmarks, but the art on the ones in last week's pack were rubbish.

I see that MOWM is adding to their title confusion by apparently now rotating the big logo every issue. So on the newsstands the last three issues have looked like 'BLACK PANTHER', 'SILVER SURFER' and 'CHAMPIONS'. This seems to be a recipe for disaster for this title being lost on shelves! Nnnngh.
Also, Bad Panini for changing volume numbers in the middle of a story. That's the kind of nonsense I usually criticise Titan for doing. Paninivision is usually better at restarting at #1 when all the stories are in sync. Case in point: the new X-Men volume.
In other news, I stayed strong and avoided #1 of the new X-Men volume. I can stay off it.

I was pleased to find I could read X-Men without sticking to the cover, but the format change reminded me the squarebound nonsense comes with a fifty pence price hike. After the confusion of timelines recently I'm happy with the idea that Blue is the original team and Gold is riffing off the Giant Size seventies revival. Two teams, two stories. That seems neat and organized to me.
Not really enamoured with the manga influenced art in Blue, but I can live with it if the story is interesting. In this age of continual restarts, X-Men feels like a title that actually needed one.

Bit surprised not to find X-Men Prime reprinted in this issue! www.comixology.co.uk/X-Men-Prime-2017-1/digital-comic/471503Question about the last issue: What were Elixir & Exodus doing together at the end of the Extraordinary story where Elixir heals Magneto after Psylocke's tried to kill him? Come to think of it, what was Elixir doing alive? He was offed during the "kill all the mutant healers" story wasn't he? MWOM hovers on the kill zone..... Probably safe for Secret Empire, which I've not bought the Spider-man issues, and until the crossover featuring one of their titles and another book which follows shortly after. But after that ....
